The weekend was over and that meant both of the girls would see each other again, in school.
Although Jennie had doubts Lisa would talk to her in school, she barely talks to anyone so why should she talk to her?
She'll probably pass by her acting like Jennie's a stranger again. That thought really hurt Jennie, she can't deal with that again.
Jennie regretted inviting Lisa into her house and letting her get close to her, she never understood why se chose Jennie's house of all the people Lisa knows.
Lisa was at home, sitting in her black suit after the funeral. Nothing could compare to the grief she felt when she watched her father's coffin go down 6 feet under the ground. She's never gonna see him again, she's never gonna hear his voice. He was strict yes, but Lisa knew he loved them with all his heart, and every decision he made after she and her brother were born was purely out of love and care.
He left a will saying that their house should go to Lisa and Hyunjin. It was a big mansion, but it didn't make Lisa happy. No amount of money could heal Lisa's heart.
She didn't even want to go to school.
She didn't have the energy to act like everything's fine and interact with people that don't even matter to her.But there was one person that mattered, Jennie.
She remembered how she promised to Jennie she's gonna talk to her again, which meant that if they see each other in school, she can't just ignore her.
She can't do that to Jennie again, seeing her so fragile after asking Lisa if she's gonna leave her again, it hurt her so bad.
She loved Jennie, no other friend could compare to her. And no random girls at school she'd make out with could replace the feeling she has when she's with her.
Her sweet innocent smile and the way her nose scrunches when she's laughing at Lisa's stupid jokes. Her sweet strawberry perfume and soft hugs.
Lisa could name so many things she loves about Jennie.
But mostly she loves how good of a friend she is, after everything Lisa put her through, she still helped her and didn't even hesitate. That's the kind of friend you meet once in a lifetime.
Lisa cried herself to sleep that night.
Still in her suit and pants, she didn't even have the energy to shower or change. When she woke up the next morning , the last thing she wanted was to get up, eat breakfast, and go to school.
But she did want to see Jennie, she was the only one that could help her, just by seeing her Lisa's day could be a hundred times better.
So she was deciding if she should stay at home, lay in bed and get wasted or go to school and keep the promise she's made to Jennie.
After a few minutes, she decided to get up, putting her feelings aside for once and "man" up.
She took a long hot shower, trying not to cry again but failed miserably.
She ended up crying on the floor, hugging her naked body, trembling.
This was too much for Lisa, she never experienced this kind of pain, she didn't want to feel anything anymore.Lisa tried to look a little decent for today, she can't come to the school looking like she's been dead for a week.
Her looks and presence were not usually important to her, but she can't let other people think she's not well, it makes her feel vulnerable.
She wore a leather oversized jacket, white shirt that was slightly unbuttoned and black baggy jeans.
"That works i guess" she said to herself, putting headphones around her neck.
