The afternoon of today had arrived. And now, as per Wheeler, I made it to the arena. I knew for sure this was my last time going to the arena to participate in the final trial, to gain permanent rights to stay in the city. I saw Wheeler had already arrived, and so did Aurora and Ranger.
"Alright, ladies and gents!" shouted the announcer. "The moment you've all been waiting for! Our contestant is getting ready to destroy his final opponent."
"Ace, now that you've made it this far, you need to finish this." Wheeler explained. "You'll be facing off against the toughest mutant ever in existence. Your objective isn't to kill him, but extract information from him."
"I beg your pardon?" I asked, not sure if people still put it that way. "Information?"
"We must find out who the leader of the Gunsmith Battalion is." Wheeler elaborated. "We never saw him, no one knows who he is, not even the members of that corrupted group."
"And why would this mutant know?" asked me in a more serious tone. "What would hint that?"
"The fact that he has done illicit deals with the leader, is why I assign you to fight him." Wheeler explained. "Beat this challenge, extract that information. If he doesn't cooperate, we'll use the lying detector chamber in Sheriff Ross' office."
"Ten-four!" I spoke to express my motivation.
The announcer then hollered on the speakers.
"Enough time wasted, let's have all the contestants take their stand in the arena." The announcer instructed.
"Fight of my life!" I expressed.
"Ace?" said Aurora. "Just know, I love you very much!"
"You too!" I told her.
And thus the fight was to commence. I suddenly saw the brute. About a good twelve-feet high, very muscular, wielding a large dagger, which looked long enough to be a sword. And it came, thus with bulletproof armor and helmet, leaving only the arms uncovered. So, given that he used a dagger, and I was given an MP40, my best bet was to shoot the arms. I mean, nothing would go wrong by shooting his arms, given he was a mutant. It wouldn't kill him, but it would weaken him to the point that he'd ask for mercy, and I could get my hands on the information which Wheeler requested. It was a long shot, but it was my best bet. The gong had rung, and thus the fight began. And wow this guy was very fast, lounging at me, with his dagger. I then began to fire rounds of my MP40 at the mutated goon and shot his arms as much as possible. Damn, he was fast and strong.
