Ace: A celebration was on, and each of us was receiving a medal for our efforts. We were all happy that day. I kept my arm around Julia, while we were accepting our accolades at that moment.

"Thank you, brave people of Vertigo Town and Jordan City!" announced Gina Fanning, the new and youngest President of the United States. "For coming together to stop our planet from facing a looming threat."

"As mentioned, a few days back, I've announced my retirement, and have nominated James Bragg, call-signed Ranger to take my place, as your new mayor!" said Wheeler. "He's more than capable!"

"It indeed is a good day for the universe!" said Aurora. "Glad to be by your side, Austin!"

"You too!" I told my queen.

"Ace, you've turned the tides against the mutants and corrupt officials. And for that I commend you, and your team." Fanning expressed her gratitude. "If you ever need anything, I'd love to offer you!"

"It does sound good and all, but I'd like to spend the next two weeks with myself and my family, before getting back into it, Madame President!" I told the President. "However, until my last day, I want to serve my people!"

"Sounds good!" said Fanning.

"But I wouldn't mind contributing to growing more trees, and saving our wildlife, or what's left of it." I did have to say that.

"Interesting!" said the Madame President.

"Other than that, I got all I need right here!" I said looking at my girlfriend.

So, with everything recovered, and the future of our world now in the hands of its people, I think it was fair to say, I was happy. I couldn't forget those who sacrificed their lives to protect the people. I already had proposed to Aurora, and I knew I just wanted to marry her soon.

"Yes, I'll stick around Vertigo Town and just work here." I told the President. "But yeah, I'll be at the Pentagon in two weeks!"

"Good man!" she said. "We'll see you then!"

Everyone cheered for our team. It felt good. We saved the people and more. Jerry and the mutants were no more, nor were the Gunsmith Battalion. We were able to have the robots reprogrammed as well to be our friends. All was well. Or I at least hoped.
