It was a tough call, but the decision was made to go to Jordan City, and help the people there collect supplies. We took an alternative route to avoid the mutants, marauders, robots, soldiers of the Gunsmith Battalion, and other threats; although, the duration of our trip would be longer. I for one wasn't too thrilled with going out at night, especially after curfew. However, the people of Jordan City were in need of supplies and food, along with defense and protection measures. We took with us whatever we could and had our weapons ready.

"I don't see why we need to raid the Gunsmith Battalion's supply office." Aurora said in dismay. "It's just putting ourselves at risk and risking the lives of the citizens."

"I didn't ask to do this, but hey." I chose to chip in. "At least we're doing something!"

"The desert looks beautiful at night." Ranger said. "We should do this more often."

"Yeah, had it not been for this ridiculous old martial law crap." I concurred. "It's not the eighteen hundreds."

"Well, on the bright side, a lot of progress was still made in the last fifty years." Aurora said. "Like people losing their jobs to robots and a heavy reduction in weekly work hours."

"I'm sure it wouldn't be a bad thing, if this world didn't become a dystopian nightmare!" I expressed my delight and disgust.

We then made it Jordan City's walls. It took about a good forty minutes, but hey at least we made it. We exited the small autonomous flying car, then proceeded to enter the city.

"Ace, is that you?" said a voice over the speaker.

It was Nelson.

"It's me, and my team." I confirmed. "Wheeler sent us."

"Come on in, quick!" said Nelson. "We must meet at once."

The shield walls opened, then did the city door. Me and the gang went inside. It was strange, seeing the city as it was now. More guards, more soldiers, and security drones patrolling the city.

"Austin, I don't like this!" said Aurora.

"I know, we must keep moving!" I assured her. "Just keep a low profile."

We then arrived at Nelson's office. I knocked on his door. I hoped he'd just let us in soon.

"Come in!" said Nelson over the overhead speaker.
