"-im, Kim!"
"Huh- what"
I jolted up by Gemma shaking my shoulder. I turned towards her only to find her a little pissed off.
"What the fuck were you thinking?! I've been calling your name for ages, boy!"
She was calling me? Why couldn't I hear it then? Did I really got invested in my thoughts? It's been almost one week I cried on Hara's shoulder. Fortunately she didn't ask me any questions further. Perhaps she thought I was just overwhelmed with the situation since the virus outbreak, everything was quite messed up.
It was a lot less crowd everywhere. Even in our garage also, barely anyone came. I was almost done with the last work for the day which was to repair a car's tires. That's all. Almost everyone else was done with their work and went home. Boss didn't say much. And Gemma was the happiest for that.
"Ah nothing much..tell me. What is it?"
She raised her eyebrow as if I was being ridiculous by asking her that question.
"Kim, don't tell me you legit forget after inviting me to your place"
Shit. I actually forgot that. What was the day again? It was Hara's idea. She wanted to invite my friends and supposedly colleagues before she goes back to her place. Even after telling no several times, she didn't listen to me telling she just wanted to meet my acquaintances.
So friend being Jimin and colleague being Gemma were invited along with Jimin's uncle. I didn't have the faintest idea what Hara was trying to do by this in the middle of a virus outbreak. Even though it was not that serious here like city yet. And no one knows what the future holds.
I had a feeling something bigger was going on with the supernova and virus outbreak but I let that thought die down for now.
"O-of course not! Here I'm done with the tires. We can go now"
"Good, good. I bet your sister makes better food than you do, Kim. Ah after a long time my stomach will be having great food again!"
She playfully said and I scoffed at that.
We were at the bus stop, waiting for the bus to take us home. It was drizzling. Gemma seemed impatient while clicking her foot against the tiles of the bus stop.
"Kim, are you sure the bus is coming today?"
Her voice spat annoyance. We've been waiting for less than 10 minutes only.
"You're overreacting Gemma. It's been just 10 minutes. Patience"
My eyes dirted towards the opposite side of the road. There was a couple walking under their umbrella. They seemed married and the wife was pregnant while the husband hold the umbrella with one hand and the other one was holding her back. They seemed happy, smiling at each other.
"They seem so happy..."
Gemma must have heard me and looked at the way I was gazing at.
"What? Because they're having baby?"
I looked at her in confusion. What was she talking about?
"I don't know..maybe"
Yeah, maybe?
"Hmmm. Do you like kids, Kim?"
This was so sudden and I wasn't ready to talk about kids. I just couldn't wrap up the thoughts yet even after 1 month.
"I mean.. they're adorable. Aren't they? Yeah I do like them.."
There was silence after that. Only the drizzling sound could be heard.
