The bright light in the sky was way too intense to make us blind temporarily. When the light dimmed a little, from my peripheral vision I saw Jungkook coming towards Jiaheng and before he could get back to his feet properly, he was punched again which made him fall down on the floor and the now blood stained dagger in his hand flew off beside.

"HOW DARE YOU FUCKING TOUCH MY FAMILY!!"

"JUNGKOOK!"

While Jungkook was punching Jiaheng, some people immediately came towards them to rescue him. The two persons who were holding Jungkook before also came stumbling in the way since Jungkook forcefully pushed them away from him before.

The light from the sky was still there but not as blinding as it was when it first appeared in the sky. The supernova.. why did it happen now? Why not before or after? What was the reason?

Jungkook was still fighting with them. I could hear all the voices shouting our names but I was helpless. I couldn't help anyone. I didn't know how to help anyone there. I stood up with baby in my hold. The loud crying died down when I held the tiny body close to me. Unknowingly I felt a wave of contentment washing over my heart. However the contentment remained short-lived when I heard my name being shouted.

"TATA! WATCH OUT!"

It was Jiaheng behind me with the dagger in his hand. When I was about to run, he immediately held my right hand and pulled me closer.

"You think you can resist me huh? You stupid human!"

My left was hand was still holding baby while I was trying to keep him away with my right one. Perhaps baby felt my distress and started crying again. I felt the tiny body leaning closer to me, seeking warmth and comfort and I felt an electrifying zeal running inside me which made me close my eyes.

When I opened them again, I found Jiaheng on the floor. His expressions screamed pain and discomfort. How did I get this sudden magnificent power to push him away like that? The impact was so powerful that even Jiaheng couldn't endure it!

From a distance, I could see the shackles disappearing from their limbs somehow. How was it possible? I had no idea. Hara and Jimin immediately ran towards me while Yoongi went to help Jungkook with others, making sure uncle was alright in his place. I felt bad for him, for everyone in this mess with me. I was center of this whole mess yet I was of no help to prevent it.

But it was not the time to be weak. I needed to be strong for everyone's sake! I couldn't just let them down!

Before Hara and Jimin could approach me, they had to go through another round of fighting against the soldiers of Jiaheng. They were definitely a lot stronger than we were yet I could see them tackling those soldiers down bravely. It was not natural at all. This had to do something with the supernova. But I was yet to discover the intricate details. My mind was shut down completely, only on survival mode. I only knew I had to save ourselves, somehow, anyhow.

I could see all valiantly battling the soldiers, I stood rooted to the spot, my mind unable to comprehend the magnitude of betrayal unfolding before me. It felt like the ground had shifted beneath my feet, leaving me teetering on the edge of an abyss of disbelief.

My attention then drew towards Uncle standing among the soldiers, his presence seemingly innocuous amidst the fray. But then, I noticed something that sent a chill down my spine. His hand, previously hidden at his side, moved in a subtle yet purposeful gesture, and suddenly, Jiaheng and the other soldiers seemed to gain a surge of energy, their attacks becoming more forceful and coordinated. The realization hit me like a thunderbolt, leaving me reeling with shock and disbelief.

I was paralyzed, my limbs heavy with the weight of betrayal. It was as if the world had turned upside down, and I was struggling to find my footing in this new, terrifying reality.

The chaos around us seemed to fade into the background as I grappled with the enormity of Uncle's betrayal. How could we..I have been so blind? So naive?

"Holy shit," I finally managed to whisper, my voice barely audible over the cacophony of battle. My hands trembled as I tightened my grip on baby, their tiny form a beacon of hope in the midst of darkness.

Jimin's stunned silence mirrored my own, his eyes wide with disbelief as he stared at his uncle. The realization seemed to hit him like a physical blow, his voice trembling as he struggled to find words to express the betrayal coursing through him.

"Uncle... W-what.." His voice cracked with emotion, a mix of hurt and anger simmering beneath the surface. It was a question that echoed the sentiments of all of us who had been blindsided by this revelation.

Hara's hand flew to her mouth in disbelief, her eyes brimming with tears as she grappled with the betrayal. "But he's family..." she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion, unable to comprehend how someone they had loved and trusted could be capable of such deception.

Hara's voice cut through the haze of my thoughts, urging me to snap out of my stupor, but it felt like I was underwater, the words distorted and distant.

I blinked, trying to shake off the paralysis that held me captive. This wasn't the time to wallow in shock and disbelief. We were in the midst of a life-and-death struggle, and I needed to find the strength to fight back.

With a deep breath, I forced myself to focus, to push aside the overwhelming sense of betrayal threatening to consume me. This wasn't the ending I had expected, but it was the reality we found ourselves in, and I needed to find the courage to face it head-on.

What we got ourselves into?
