Seoul, South Korea

A quiet groan left Skylar's lips as she blinked her eyes open. The warm light above her made her flinch immediately and she turned her face away. Despite it not being bright but dimmed, with the rest of the room being dark, it still hurt her eyes and she felt her head spinning.

She heard a door open then, followed by steps on the linoleum by someone entering the room. Her head slowly turning to the direction of the person and she blinked an eye open, seeing Jungkook stopping in his tracks when noticing her having gained conscious.

"You're awake!" he exclaimed, almost dropping the spoon from his mouth in excitement.
She only hummed in response, still not having the energy to say much. Her her glance fell onto the container he was holding in his hand then. "Is that ice cream?" she weakly giggled.
He nodded, walking closer to her. "Yeah, you want some? Oh wait, no. Are you even allowed to eat that now? I should probably ask a nurse first."
"A nurse?" Skylar repeated. Her brown eyes widening. "Am I in a hospital?"
"Uhm yeah." He took his previous seat on the chair next to her bed where he'd spend mostof his time in the past days at, and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Why?"
"You were knocked out for two days."
"T-two, days?"

She abruptly sat up but instantly regretted her sudden move as she'd tugged at the infusion and an anew vertigo began. She had to hold her head, squeazing her eyes shut. Jungkook pushed the chair back as he leaped up to his feet, grabbing her staggering shoulder to steady her.

"Easy there, lay back," he said with a deep frown. Guiding her head back to her pillow. "Now rest, Sky - I know that's easier said than done for you." A teasing smirk tugged on his lips and he watched her pout in offence, although she'd have to admit there was some truth to his words.
"What.. what even happened that I was passed out for so long?"

He took his seat and grabbed the ice-cream container he'd left on the nightstand. Taking a spoonful before releasing the spoon with a dragged sigh. "Security footage showed Jimin pinching you in the shoulder and you fainting immediately."
Her brows knitted together in a moment of confusion. "I-is that even possible though? I thought that was a myth."

He plopped another spoonful of his ice cream, shrugging with a pensive look. "Doctors were also confused about it.." he mumbled with a scowl, recalling the night he'd rushed her to the emergency room, "But they said, it might be possible after all if artery pressure points were pressed and the person had very tense shoulder muscles. The brain must've registered severe blood pressure drop, causing you to faint."

His partner only hummed, staring at the white ceiling and processing his words. "Still.. two days."

"The doctor said your overall condition was weak.." he quietly said then, the crease between his brows deepening as he stared inti his ice-cream. Contemplating how to phrase himself. "It seemed.. as if you were overworked, they said. So your system might've took that as an opportunity to finally rest."

Her cheeks blushed. Flustered she looked away.

It was true that she was trying putting extra effort into her work and perhaps that was stressing her out a little bit. Sometimes. Occasionally. She'd joined the robbery department only half a year ago and still felt the need to proof herself. That she was worth being there. So she often found herself stayinng overtime, to finish paperwork, collect new information or analyse data. But she might be forced to realise that perhaps her high ambitions weren't healthy in the long run.

"Sky.. please, don't overwork yourself."
Her gaze returned to him. It wasn't so much his words but rather the soft tone of genuine concern that took her aback. His round eyes looked sad and her jaw clenched, feeling awful. She didn't say anything though, only swallowed and nodded.
