Brian, An eighteen year old boy (or very young adult) shot up in his bed and looked around the room. His brother, Keith, laid asleep on his bed across the bedroom, his window slightly opened. Brian hurried out of bed and hurried over to the window, quickly shutting and locking it before he searched the bedroom, looking to be certain nobody else was there.
He locked his arms around his body, being remind of the worst day of his life, letting out a sob that woke his brother. Keith let out a yawn reaching over and turning on his lamp. "Another bad dream?" Keith asked. "Never...said I did." Brian pointed out. "I've lived in this room with you since your adoption, brother. Most of our lives. I know when you have a bad dream, it's been a lot of them. Come on, it's late. Keith said, moving over in his bed. After a pause, Brian laid down, but wouldn't relax and after another yawn. "Do you want to talk about it?" Keith said. "No...think I'm just going to go watch television or something." Brian said, getting back out of bed.Since then? Brian ended up sleeping in his parents bedroom. Keith told them he was having trouble sleeping, they assumed it was because of Keith's sleep apnea medicine he started to have to use, Keith didn't say anything about his nightmares, he was asked not to and sleeping seemed to be the only problem he had, but because Keith worked, he didn't realize Brian wasn't going to university, and hadn't been.
It was early and Siruis and Remus just woke up. Remus yawned slowly sitting up, looking over at Brian in the bed. He'd slipped between them sometimes during the night. Siruis went over to the laptop, checking his overnight emails, but seen one he got about eight last night. "There's an email from the dean here." Siruis said. "Might be for Kim's last payment on her instrument, I was late with the payment it completely slipped my mind." Remus said, slowly getting to his feet. "You did send it in though?" Siruis asked. "Yeah. Those emails are pretty automatics, so they should know by now." Remus said and Siruis eased down at the computer and opened the email to find the email address they were supposed to reply to, but it wasn't the band teacher. "Has Brian not been going to university?" Siruis asked. "As for as I know." Remus said, getting pulled on the leg of his husband. "He's not been to class in weeks...he'll loose his scholarship if he doesn't go back by April." Sirius said. "I'll...talk to him once I get the children settled on their lessons. Promise." Remus said. "He's in our bed, moony. Something's wrong and I'm certain something's been wrong." Siruis said. "I have to get breakfast started, you're welcome to try and get him to talk to you." Remus said. "You know they children have always rather you, you've spoiled them so many times." Siruis couldn't help but chuckle and Remus just rolled his eyes, but smiled lightly. "That might be true, but if something is wrong...It might be better he knows hell be okay. You can always protect the children if they actually come to us. Just see? If he doesn't, I'll talk to him, I promise." Remus said. "Alright, love. Get breakfast started love." Siruis said.-
Brian yawned, for once sleeping without a nightmare between his parents, when Siruis gave him a light shake. "We need to talk, son." Siruis said. "You said it...was fine if I slept in here." He whispered. "We did. It's not about that, B. You haven't been going to university. The dean email me. You'll loose your scholarship if you don't go back soon." Siruis said, watching brain slowly set up, locking his light jacket around him. "Not going back." He said and Siruis settled beside him on the bed. "Son, what's wrong? I know you wanted to go. We don't care if you do or don't, but I know for certain, you wanted to go. What changed that?" Siruis said. "Nothing, can I not just change my mind?" He asked. "No, because that's not one of your characteristics. Something tells me, you wanting to be in here, doesn't have to do with your brothers condition, and it took a couple minutes to wake you." Siruis said. "You don't need to worry about it. I just don't want to go back, just accept that." He said and Siruis let out a sigh. "Well I don't, and I think you know that." Siruis said. Brian just through the blankets off and climbed out of bed, but he'd move to fast. He got dizzy and hit his knees, feeling like he was going to vomit. Siruis wasn't letting it go, but got his son back in the bed. Siruis let out a sigh. "Are you really going to do this the hard way?" Siruis asked, but Brian just rolled over in the bed. "Get some rest. We'll talk later then." Siruis said.

Sirius of course didn't let it go and told his husband to try after a couple hours. At least let Brian get some more rest, who was still asleep when Remus opened the bedroom door, a trey of food. He didn't want to talk to Remus either, sitting back up in bed. "Why does there have to be a reason I haven't went back?" He huffed. "Because your father and I know how much you have wanted to go since about ten years old. Something happened to change that, and I don't understand why you think you can't tell us." Remus said. It was quiet, for some time. "Pa would just get mad, and I don't want him going anywhere. Uncle would too." He whispered. "I can talk to your pa. Teenagers are stupid. Did you get into trouble? I know there's a lot of drugs and stuff around-" Remus started. "Not...like that, papa." Brain said. "Please tell me what's wrong? We can't help you if we don't know." Remus said.

Siruis's telephone rang at work around lunch time. Remus sitting beside his boy stroking his hair, who laid awake, listening to the television, but was still very upset. "Yes, love?" Siruis said. "You need to come home." Remus said softly. "Or, you give me a name. It's either a bully or a teacher and I'm certain they are 18 years old if not much older." Siruis said. "I don't have a name and we won't have one. You need to come home." Remus said and after a huff. "I'll find out, don't think I won't. I'll be home shortly love." Siruis said.
