"Crap!! Run!!"
One of my classmates from the group shouts as they ducked behind a tree.

I quickly dashed forward to what they were running from; a level 7, huh?

"Are you crazy!!" The ones hiding behind a tree shout, not too impressed by how cocky we were being.

"These are my points! Back off!!!" Mike lunges forward alongside me trying to get the rewards from it before me.

"Not if I get it first."

We both lunged forward and, at the same time, with our swords, sliced it in half.

Inventory for both: 100 each

"I would've gotten 200 if you didn't get in the way."

I roll my eyes."uh huh, I'm sure you would've Jake."

"Help!!!" I look to my side to see Jake running from an evil one. Level 6.
"I'm just kidding." Jake turns around, stabbing it through the heart without breaking much of a sweat.

I let out a small giggle at his antics.

"Ew your laugh sounds like a girl." Mike implies walking away giving me an annoyed gaze.

Right, I forgot I still had to keep my identity hidden.

"Belle...." I heard someone call my name but when I turned around no one was there. Who was it just now that said my name? Mike just left, and it's just me and Jake.

"What's wrong?" Jake approaches.

"I thought I heard someone-" Suddenly, when I turned around, me and Jake get pushed into a tree.

"What the hell." I look up to see... "Jake...?"I looked at Jake, noticing he was right beside me; why were there two of him?!

"Yep. Think I broke a rib."

"Jake. This is really bad."How was this thing copying Jake's appearance? If they could do this. This is dangerous.
I looked above its head, and I was rendered speechless. League: 34, "Holy sh-

Suddenly, it came dashing at us; I barely had any time to react. "Jake, move!!" I push him, and we roll to the floor.

"Aw, I bet you have a really pretty face. Let me see it." It giggles.

It was talking to me. Wait. She can't copy my appearance if she can't see it.

"Asher. We need to go." Jake implies the obvious.

"You think?!" We tried running, but the floor began rumbling beneath us, and vines of trees flew up, blocking us in.

I grabbed my sword, and suddenly, when it touched my hands, it lit up blue.

"What did you do...." Jake looked at me speechless as the sword I was holding was sparkling in my hands.

"I.... I didn't do anything!"

"Kill her." The voice kept repeating in my head.

Not the time!!! The thing is, level 34! We couldn't even do League 10 yet!

Suddenly the thing teleports right in front of Jake.

"You have such a pretty face. I'll make sure to add it to my collection and take real good care of it."

She was about to strike, but I jumped in, blocking her vines from getting close to Jake.

"Jake. I need you to listen to me."

"Asher were not going to make it out alive."

"Jake. You have done nothing but treat me with kindness. I won't let it take us without it killing me first. Now listen. I need you to help me. Help me fight it until someone comes. The league fighters are supposed to run with a group later today to train them were supposed to be in. They'll come noticing something is wrong, and they'll find us here. All I'm asking is for you to help me. Please."

He nervously grabs his sword I could tell he was scared out of his mind. "Okay. Just don't die, alright?"

"Aw, now I really want to see your precious face," she grunted.

Suddenly, more vines come rushing to the surface.

"Strike!" The voice yells.

I jumped, slicing them at first sight on them I had.

There has to be a source she pulling from, how was she able to transform and also use the vines at the same time?

"Strike!"I turn around again, slicing them.

I looked down to see Jake was doing the same.

"There's too many of them."

"Just keep going." I had an advantage over Jake. With the voice watching my back, I was able to move more freely than him. I just had to keep an eye out in case I needed to step in to help him.

But he was right. If they didn't come soon, we were dead.

•with the league fighters and the rest of the classmates•
"Asher, Jake." The instructor called our names, but no one answered.

"Fucking idiots." Mike mumbles.

"What was that, Mike? Do you know where they are??" The instructor asks.

The league fighters were also curious, they should've been here.

"Well, yeah, we were out killing those bastards when Asher stole my kill-

"Get to the point." Aiden implies.

"Whatever. Anyways, they must still be out killing those darn things in the woods still."

"Fine. We'll all join them in there then."
•with Jake and Asher•

*panting*
"A-Asher I'm getting out of breath."

Honestly, so was I. And my hood was beginning to rip.

Luckily, it wasn't really trying to hurt us, especially our faces. It wanted that.

It strikes at us again but this time I notice something glowing in her hand.
What was that?

"Hey, Jake. You see that in her hand?"
He nods noticing it as well.

"It's a long shot, but I think that's what she's using to make the vines listen to her."

"Damn, I'll try anything at this point."

"I think we should aim for that."

Jake nods, agreeing.

Suddenly, the thing yawns, taking the form of a little girl. "I'm bored."

Me and Jake both look confused.

"Kill them." She mumbles, not even breaking a sweat.

Suddenly, the floor begins to rumble, and instead of the slow vines she was using, fast vines come striking at both of us.

It grips onto our legs forcefully, making us kneel.

"See, this is more like it." She giggles, pulling out an axe.

I look at Jake. He had just accepted the defeat. But me? I hadn't.
My sword began moving on its own glowing bright blue.

"What's that-

My sword then breaks through the vines for both me and Jake as it flies back into my hand.
I grin, looking back at her.

"Strike."

I then Lunged forward, and so did he.

My sword and her axe clash; none of us make a single move.

Suddenly, I heard voices. It must be the League fighters and the others!

"Help!!!" Jake shouts, but suddenly, when I look back at Jake for just a second, I notice the little girl is standing behind him.

"Wait-

I look back and notice there was two of them. She could make duplicates.
