anna sat and looked at her phone as she debated calling luke. she was slowly becoming tired of the person she was. she wanted to change, be be a new person, a new soul, but she didnt know how.
she finally decided to call luke. the phone rang once and he answered. her heart skipped a beat.
"hi." a rough voice called through the phone.
"hi," she replied.
there was a silence between the two.
"food then?" she quickly said to cover up the silence.
"that sounds good. do you want to go today or tomorrow, although i think i have to work tomorrow..." he mumbled awkwardly.
"today is fine." she said briefly.
"okay. i can pick you up if you want."
"okay. i can send you my address."
"okay beautiful, see you in a few."
he hung up. she sent him her address and ran to get ready.

he wondered what they would talk about, where they would go, how she would react to things. he wondered what she would wear, what she thought about him. he wondered if her eyes would light up when she saw him, or if they would be a dull brown. although, he thought, they would never be exactly dull, only dimmer.
