A new classmate | Haikyu au

The first day

Pov: Motoya

I was laying down a flower field and breath in the lovely smell but then I heard my alarm...well shit. I didn't want to wake up but I had to before my mother would knock on the door. I sat up, looked at my watch and saw that it was 6:10am.


I felt sleepy but forced myself to stand up, so I walked over to my wardrobe, took my uniform out and put it on. I heard a knock on the door so I opened the door and saw my Mother who was surprised to see me in front of her and not in the bed.

Mom: Are you ready to have breakfast, dear?

Me: I just have to put my school stuff in my bag and then I will come downstairs, mom.

She then turned away from the door and told me that kyioomi would pick me up soon.

After I was done I went to the bathroom, washed my face and hands, used deodorant and a bit of my mom's perfume. I then decided to wash my hair since I didn't had the time to wash myself but then heard that my mom greeted someone - my cousin was there.

While I was washing my hair, I've noticed that kyioomi is always before me done so how does he have the time to lean himself and to ha e breakfast? Does he wake up at 5am or why is he that fast?

I took the towel with me and saw him sitting there while my parents talk to him about school things. I took the food that my father did and myself an omelet.

Mom: Don't you want to eat something too, kiyoomi?

Kyioomi: I'm not hungry. I had breakfast at home.

Mom: Did your mother made you an bento?

Kyioomi: Yes, she did.

She asked him more questions until I was finished with my food, put it in the dishwasher and put my shoes and jacket off. Kyioomi then stood up too but my mother stopped him from doing that.

Mom: Do you two not want some snacks?

Me: We have enough food with us.

Dad: I made a bit to much cookies - so would you like to have some?

Me: What are they?

Dad: They're not Oreos but I tried to do them like that.
I took my shoes off again and took myself a hand full of cookies before I walked out of the house with kyioomi.

We walked through the streets without talking to each other, what made me nervous so I asked him if he would like a cookie and he took one.

I then heard that somebody yelled my name, so I turned around and saw our captain Iizuna.

Iizuna: Hey, you two!

Kyioomi and I half bowed in front of him and wished him a good year in the 2nd half of the school year.

Iizuna: I smell some freshly baked cookies.

Me: Do you like chocolate cookies, Iizuna-san?

He nodded his head with a smile and I gave him two cookies and after that , he asked us where we've been in the holidays.

Me: I went to Hokkaido for one week. And you?

Iizuna: I was in Kyotō and helped my grandparents by the shrine. It was Interesting but the work was hard. Did you made any wishes?

Me: I just wished for a good year and for luck.

More that I would meet Shinobu again. I met her in Hokkaido and we both could really talk to each other, even if we didn't saw each other in this one week that often.

She told me that she weren't religious and didn't believed in God and I told her the same thing but at the end we both made a wish and had a great time.

When we arrived at school, I got a message from Shinobu and asked kyioomi if he could go to his classroom without me. I then ran to a bathroom stall and texted her back.

Shinobu: Hi Toya, are you at school now ?

Me: Yes, I am. When does your school starts?

Shinobu: As usual 8am. But you know what - my first period is canceled so I just have 6 hours of school. How many hours do you have today?

Me: I have 7 hours but actually more because I'm in the volleyball club. So 9 hours.

Shinobu: What position do you play?

Me: I'm a libero. Do you have any hobbies?

Shinobu: I'm in a kyudo club and tennis club but I played volleyball a while ago.

Me: Really?! What position did you played?!

Shinobu: I was a setter.

I then heard the bell rang and told Shinobu that I had to go to my class now but thenat end came 10 minutes to late because I had to search for my classroom.

C.T: Please take a seat.

I walked to my desk, took my school stuff out and then our new class teacher Introunced himself.

C.T: My name is Yoiichi Satogiri and I will be your new class teacher.

He turned around and wrote his name on the board. After that, he told us to introduce ourself too and when it was mine and kyioomis turn, everybody turned around and looked at us.
Kyioomithen stood up a d began to speak up.

Kyioomi: My name is Kyioomi Sakusa.

He bowed a bit down and sat down. Then it was my turn.

Me: My name is Motoya Komori and...it's nice to meet you.

I then bowed down a bit too and sat embarrassed down. In the first break, kyioomi held his pho e up and showed me a message from Iizuna-san who asked kyioomi and me, if we wanted to go bowling on Saturday with the whole team.

Me: Could you tell him, that I have plans on Saturday. Please.

Kyioomi: Wouldn't it be better, if you would tell him that yourself.

Me: OK.

Then the break was over and then another teacher came inside and started the lesson.

2nd break

I took my bento out and asked kyioomi if he wants to eat with me to have lunch.

Me: We could go to the roof together.

We walked upstairs and ate our food I silence.
