A new transfer student at Inarizaki Kōkō

2 days later

POV: Shinobu

I woke up to my alarm , turned it off and walked to the bathroom before my sister will come to my room like everyday. It's my first time in Sendai even if I was in Hokkaido but I've never lived in Tokyo and when I was younger, I've always wanted to visit Japan but my Japanese wasn't that good.

Now I can speak much better but I have to speak a bit slowly.
After I took a shower, I put my new uniform on and walked to the guest room , where my parents were.

Mom: Good morning sweetheart. Did you slept well?

Me: Yes, but I don't like to get up so early.

Dad: After a time you will do it as a usual thing, honey.

Me: Yeah, Yeah

I walked to the kitchen, to make myself a breakfast but the house butler stopped me and made it for me and after a couple of minutes I ate it and it was delicious.
He then gave me my bag and my parents drove me to school.
When we arrived, I was a bit scared because I'm now the new transfer student from America and I fell a but cringe about that.

Mom: I heard that they have a volleyball club in this school. You could join in if you want to.

Dad: You are really good in that so I don't think that it would be difficult for you (^ー^)

We then to the principal and he lead me to the  classroom 1-3.

Principal: When I say your name, you will walk in ok, Kocho-san.

I just nodded my head and after that I walked inside of the classroom and everybody looked at me. I stood next to the teacher and introduced myself. I actually wanted to introduce myself in English but my parents and my Japanese was better.

Me: My name is Shinobu Kocho and I'm your new classmate.

Then I walked to the board and slowly wrote my name on it and  turned around again.

Me: I hope for a good start.

I bowed half down infront the class and then teacher said that I will sit behind a boy named Rintarō Suna but I should call him Suna because it would be strange to call somebody by his last name but in this case, I will show some respect.

I walked to my seat and then the lesson started again. A couple of peoples looked at me and I noticed that a guy with yellow hair looked at me then too.

1st break

I took my bento out but then got interrupted by doing that because a couple of girls came to my desk and started to talk to me.

Girl 1 : So your really from America ?

I nodded my head when she asked me that and then all of the sudden, the whole class was so surprised, even if I said that infront of the fucking whole class.

After the break was over and the next teacher came inside, I asked if I could go to the toilet, what he then allowed me. When I was in the bathroom Stall,  I took my phone out and looked on the flyer for this school and saw that the cafeteria was downstairs.

I then walked downstairs and searched for the cafeteria but then saw that one boy out of my class... is he skipping class?
I walked towards him and saw that he just sat there and was minding his own business. We are both in the same class so it could be but I don't have to care about that. I turned around and walked back to class.

Teacher: Did someone saw Suna? Was he in class before?

The class rep said that he was there and then the teacher asked me , if I saw him on the way to the classroom.

Me: No, I didn't saw him.

Teacher: Could you look for him. I have to talk to him after class.

I walked out of the class and went to the cafeteria but didn't saw him...where could he be? I heard footsteps behind me and noticed that he went upstairs, so I went after him. So he wanted to go to the roof.

I opened the door a couple of minutes after him.

Me: Rintarō Suna. I have to take you to class, so please come with me.

He ignored me because he was listening to music so I sat right in front of  him and waved my hand in front of him. He didn't react so I pulled one of his air pod out.

Suna: What the fu-...

He looked at me with a shocked face but tried to act cool, so he stood up and tried to take his ear pod away but I didn't let him take it away from me.

Suna: Give it back.

Me: Come to class or I will throw it away, Suna.

He was annoyed of me but I understood that not everybody like to get caught by somebody else.

Me: Just come with me to class.

Suna: Just give it back.

He didn't even listen to what I've just said to him, so I walked to him and grabbed his arm.

Me: Just do as I say Suna Rintarō.

Suna: I don't have to listen to you, Kocho.

I pulled him towards me and punched him in his stomach, what made him faint. I picked him up and walked to class.

Teacher: What happened to him ?

I didn't wanted to tell the truth so I lied to the teacher.

Me: He fell down the stairs.

Teacher: Could you bring him to the hospital room.

Me: Of course.

I then brought him to the nurse office but when I opened the door, I saw that nobody was inside. I laid him on the bed and waited for the school nurse to come.

20 minutes later

The nurse came to the room and gave Rintarō some paracetamol because he said that he have an headache.
She gave him one and after he drank his cup of water, she asked us what happened.

I put my phone back into my pockets and looked at the nurse.

Suna: I was pu-

I gave him a side eye.

Suna: pushed by a guy and fell down the stairs (*_*;

Me: I was so worried about him and then the teacher told me to bring him to the nurse office.

Nurse: That's a trattic , oh dear. Did you saw how it happened, Kocho?

Me: No, I didn't saw what was happening. I just heard something and saw him on the floor.

She told me to go back to class and said to  Rintarō to watch out because of his headache. I walked back to class and apologized for my missings subjects.

Teacher: Where is Suna-kun? Wasn't he with you, Kocho-san?

Me: No, he's by the nurse and here...I should give you this.

I gave him the letter and went to my seat.

After school

I walked past the gym but then I got curious and looked at what they were playing - volleyball. I loved playing volleyball but then stopped with it when I entered highschool. I then remerbered this letter , that was hanging on the blackboard in the 3rd break...they were searching for a managerin.

But I don't like this job and you don't have to do anything special but I could give it a try. Not now but tomorrow. When I turned around , I saw Rintarō again and he looked at me what made me cringed but I looked at him back what made him then look away.

The next day

When I was in school, I walked to the 3rd graders and asked for the vice captain. I then walked towards him and asked  him if they needed an manager - I know that it sounds super strange but I could give it a try atleast.

V.C: Sure, just come over today if you want too.
Me: Is it everyday?

V.C: No, it's not Monday, Wednesday and on Friday.

That is good because I have other things to do on these days but I would come a little later but I have to ask him.

Me: Would it be ok for you, if I would come a little bit later because I have on Wednesday and on Friday tennis and kyudo.

V.C: It's fine, just come visit us today.

I then said bye to him and went to my class before school started. After school ended, I went to the gym and just changed my shoes and I put a jogging pants on.

The vice captain called everyone together and then introduced me to the team members. I saw, while they were speaking about an trainings match, that a guy in the back played alone with himself.

At first I learned everything that a manager needs to know about this "job", even if it's not a real job. They all started to practice and I walked to that guy and asked him if I could play with him.

Shinsuke: No need to. You can play with them if you want too.

Me: It's my first time that I would be the manager so I don't really know them. I couod toss you a ball if you want that.

After a short argument he accepted my offering and I started to toss him a few balls and I would admitted it myself but I'm pretty good at it.

I then got called from the other side of the gym and was asked to fill in the water bottles.

Shinsuke: I could help you, if you need help.

Me: That would be very nice of you. Could you bring me every bottle to that sink, please.

He nodded his head and did that what I've asked him. He is a very nice guy who helps everyone but my question is - why does he not play with the team?

After practice the coach said to me, that this weekend is a trainings match and gave me the formulas.

Coach: It would be a great experience for you to come with us :-)

I smiled back at him and then they  all went to the locker room and I went to the bathroom and just took my trainers of and then walked to the parking lot, where my parents waited for me.
