A common situation

POV: Shinobu

When we arrived at the gym hall, I changed my shoes and went to the hall back and filled the bottles with water. I then laid them on the bench and just stood next to the coach and watched the teams playing volleyball. I was kind of bored so I took my phone out and played a mobile game.

After I don't know how many sets they were done and then we had lunch and it was delicious even if I don't really like Mochi.

Toya took himself a Onigiri so I asked him if we could switch and he said yes.

Me: What it in it?

Toya: It is roasted plums.

I don't like plums but I asked to switch.

Me: You can have it...If you don't have anything against it.

Toya: No.No. Everything is OK. It's fine to me.

Sakusa: Why did you even asked to switch.

I gave him his Onigiri and looked at Sakusa. I wanted to say something but it was unessesary to say something to him.

Toya: It is really ok

After Lunch, I walked to the gym alone and when I opened the door and saw a couples tennis balls on the floor what was confusing to me. I picked them up and put them in a basket full of other balls but then saw a tennis racket.

I looked around me , saw nobody so I took it and played by myself without realizing that some members looked at me or just stood by the door. After the other side of the hall was covered with tennis balls, I heard a knocking on the door , turned around and saw that the coach and the others stood there.

Coach: Was the storage room open?

I just nodded my head and picked the balls up again and cleaned the tennis racket because it didn't belonged to me. I then took the bottles, filled them with water and then took some notes. I somehow was lucky that I didn't had to play with them but at some point I wanted to play with them.

Coach: Why are you looking  like that, Kocho? Is something wrong?

Me: No, something is very off. Just look.

I noticed that Michinari had something in his knees pad but didn't do anything against that and the captain - I think his name was Iizuna had something on his elbow. I don't think that our team will win this set against Itachiyama.

Can I do something?

No.

Why not? You may ask...Because I'm just a manager. I can't tell them something even if I played volleyball and got a certificate as the best setter in my middleschool but that doesn't count yet.

Our team then lost the first set. I gave them all their water bottle and then they started to make another plan.

Me: That won't work out.

They all looked at me - even the coach.

Aran: What do you mean by that, Kocho ?

Me: You should not just look after the middle blockers. You should look after the ass and after the libero. They both are like weapons and they protect the team so Atsumu and Osamu should toss at each other and then hit as hard as they can't to kind of break the wall. That would work out.

At first they wanted to disagree with my idea but at the end used it and won the 2nd match.

 I was fascinated with my own idea and then gave them more until the 5th set. It was 10:6 for Inarizaki and it somehow didn't looked good for them but it was just a match. Nothing to be soserious about that.

Coach: Did actually played volleyball.

Me: Yes, but that was in Middleschool.

Coach: Did you never thought of playing again?

Me: I thought of playing Tennis and kyudo but I think that I would be happy for playing again.

The coach then looked at me and asked me if I wanted to play on the court with them. 

Me: I could do that tomorrow but not now.

The coach then agreed with me and then the match was over and we all went to the cafeteria.

Me: That was a great match, Toya.

He then let a big sight out and stretched his arms and back.

Toya: But it was hard to play 5 sets everyday. 

We then took our plates from the kitchen men and sat down. While he began to eat his food, I noticed that I got a mail from my coach who said that tomorrow is a match - why? Didn't she said that we have one on Thursday? I texted her back but she didn't replied that fast back.

Toya: How many sets do you actually play in tennis?

Me: Most of the time 9 sets.

He looked at me with wide eyes . He didn't believed me , what I could understand but I'm now higher than the other ones , who just play as a team at school. 

Toya: What level are you in tennis?

Me: You mean in the way of a video game?

He nodded his head and slurped his soup out.

Me: Probably level 70.

He spit his soup a bit out and then began to cough so I gave him a handkerchief to clean the table.

Toya: Level 70?! What?!

I then saw that Sakusa was disgusted by Toyas behavior - what I could fully understand. I don't think that anyone would find it totally OK that someone spit their soup out while you are eating your food.

Sakusa: Could you not do that, Motoya.
Toya: Sorry.

I took my handkerchief out but Sakusa didn't accepted it.

Me: Just take it.

He ignored me, so I smacked it in his hands and continued to eat my food. After the dinner, I went to the toilet but in that excat moment, Suna and Atsumu went to Toya and talked to him.

I think that they talked about me and I was correct. When I walked out I heard that Atsumu asked Toya,  if we were together - what was for me a strange question because I barely know him.

Toya: No, we are friends.

Me: Nothing more than that, Atsumu.

He shrieked together and I think that Suna too.

Atsumu: Since when are you here, Shinobu-chan.

Me: "Are you two together becuase you two are always with each other". Since then.

I looked to Sakusa and then back to Atsumu.

Me: I could ask the same question as you,Atsumu.
Toya: What do you mean by that?

Me: Kyioomi and Atsumu. Are you two more that friends?

Sakusa looked at me with a disgusted face and Suna made the same face as Toya himself. In my opinion , I think that the two of them with together but at the same time Suna and Kyioomi fit together too - I can't tell which ship is better.

Atsumu: What are you sayin-...!

Me: Just kidding. No need to overreact.

I then got a message from Toya, who asked if we could talk to each other in person.

Me: I will go now to my room.

I walked away with a smile on my face because it would be beautiful,  if the two of them come together.

3 hours later

Around 11pm , I got a message from Toya who said that he was inrront of my door. I opened the door for him and gave him out of nowhere a glass of water.

Me: Why did you come to me. They would get suspicious about your behavior.

Toya: I wanted to ask you something.

I walked to the window, closed the curtains and then sat down next to him.

Me: Move on.

Toya: What did you meant by that.

Me: You mean that what I said to Atsumu or to Kyioomi?

Toya: That what you said to Miya Atsumu.

Me: Do you have a problem with that?

Toya: No. Not in that way... What I meant, was that Kyioomi didn't knew what you were actually saying.

Me: What? But his look on his face...Ok, fine. What I meant , was that Atsumu and Kyioomi fit perfectly together even if he looks like a red flag somehow.

Toya: You mean as a couple?

I nodded my head and saw that Toya was just staring at me.

Me: Do you think that it strange that two men have a relationship?

Toya: No...It's just - kyioomi never liked to see that.
Me: Seeing what?

Toya: Can I tell you something but don't tell it anyone else.

Me: I won't do such a thing.

Toya: OK, so when I was in middleschool, I kinda liked a boy that was in my class but when I told it kyioomi he was disgusted and said that it wasn't normal. After that , I said to him that I didn't mean it for real.

So he's probably gay...Toya I knew it but I can't say it right now.

Me: Did he leave you alone from that moment?

Toya: Yes. We both never spoke about that ever again and I hope that he thinks, that I wasn't being serious.

He then from nowhere laughed nervous.

Me: But did you liked that guy.

Toya: I-In a friendly way. Not in the way of love.

He then scratched the back of his head and looked away from me.

Me: You can tell me the truth. There is no need to hide it, Toya.
Toya: I was telling the truth f(^_^)

I touched his shoulder.

Me: Just be honest to yourself. Please.

Toya: I-I...it was really nothing.

I let his shoulder go and talked about something else because it was uncomfortable for him.


The next day


POV: Motoya

I woke up while my phone was ringing, so i picked it up and saw that Shinobu called me - it was 4:32am. Why is she calling me now?

Me: What is it?

Shinobu: Uhm...I got lost.

Me: Where are you?

Shinobu: In some street that's near the kombini store.

Me: Then just walk back or use your phone.

Shinobu: That's not the problem right now.

Me: Then what is it?

Shinobu: I woke up here...in this place.

[...]

Me: Wait. Your telling me, that you woke up there...in the middle of the street? Are you joking?

Shinobu: No, I mean it like that. Can you come to this place because I don't have any shoes on. It is very uncomfortable and it is cold.

Me: Should I take socks with me?

Shinobu: That would be nice of you.

[ I stood up and took a pair of socks out of my night stand ]

Me: Should we talk to each other while I will search for you?

Shinobu: Yes, please.

I put my normal clothes on and walked quietly out of the room but when I was by the elevator I saw Kyioomi. When we two were inthe elevator, I asked him which floor and he said that he wanted to go the cafeteria. 

At this time?

I looked at my watch and saw that it was now 5:10am. Does he wanted to eat alone? We then arrived at the first floor,  I walked in the opposite direction as Kyioomi and was happy that he didn't asked me, where I wanted to go.

After 10 minutes, I saw Shinobu sitting on a bench and eating a onigiri.

Me: Shinobu!

She looked at me and then I showed her the socks that I took with me. She ate her Onigiri and then put them on.

Me: And how do you wanna walk now?

Shinobu: Which foot size do you have?

Me: Uh...I have footsize 10. Why do you ask?

Shinobu: Give them to me.

Me: What? Why?

Shinobu: Just do as I say. 

I then gave her my shoes and in the next moment, I was on her back - she carried me on her back because she was to heavy for me...she said that, not me.

We then arrived at the hotel and she brought me upstairs, I put my shoes on and we ran to the gym hall because we were to late.

Coach: Where were you ?

Me: I just went for a Morning run.

I then did the warm up training by myself and then saw that Rintarō was staring at me and then out of nowhere , a ball was thrown in my direction. I react at the right moment and catches the ball.

Atsumu: Sorry!

I threw the ball back and finished my warm up training. I then went back to my team but then the coach said , that I will get on the court in the next set. 20 minutes later, I got in and received the ball from the other team.

Coach: He got better.

Trainer: Your right.

After 2 sets, we had a small break and discussed ,how we should move on in the next set. When we were done with the discussion, the coach called me.

Coach: Komori.

Me: Yes, coach.

Coach: Why don't you try to be a middleblocker for this set.

Me: Uh, I could try.

He laid his hand on my shoulder and said, that I should atleast try it. I stood next to Kyioomi and Hirokita, what was a for me a bit strange because I always saw them from behind but never stood next to them on the court.

In the 3rd set, I wanted to toss the ball to kyioomi but Ayanokoji did a fint and the ball was on the other side, so we got one score.

Kyioomi: What was that for, Hitomi.

Hitomi: We still got a score.

I was a bit confused but we had the same scores as Inarizaki. I noticed when we changed the positions, that Kyioomi was pissed.

Why? We won this set, so it's OK.

Shinobu: Toya.

I turned around looked at her and then walked towards her.

Me: What is it?

She gave me a plan and then walked back to my team.

Hitomi: What did she gave you?

Me: I don't know.

I took a look at it and saw that she told me , how to play the ball to kyioomi...detail for detail. When I then was next to kyioomi, I did as she told me and it worked. When everyone from our team were  saying " well done ", I looked at my hand and then to Shinobu who gave me a thumb up.

Hitomi: That was a great play, Motoya-kun.

Me: Thank you, Ayanokoji-san.

He then laid his arm around me and Iizuna-san and Ayanokoji-san praised me and then Kyioomi came to us and asked me, how did I learned to play like that.

Me: I just learned it right now.

Iizuna: You two are a great combination on the court.
I then walked to the end of the court and was a libero as usual. At the end of the match, me and Shinobu went to the cafeteria and when we sat down, Ayanokoji-San joined us.

Hitomi: You were fire today, Motoya-san.

I looked down to my legs and was a little embarrassed because Shinobu sat next to me and was actually confused.

Shinobu: What do you mean, Hitomi?

Hitomi: You didn't saw it?

Shinobu: Saw what?

Hitomi: The way Motoya-san and Sakusa played with each other.

Shinobu looked at me and then asked Ayanokoji,  if he could tell her more about it, what he then did. I saw that Suna and one of the Miya twins looked at us and then walked to our table.

Atsumu: What are you talking about?

Hitomi: Nothing that has to do with you, Miya.

Shinobu: You don't have to care, even if you saw it with your own eyes. Ah, no you didn't really saw it because you sat on the bench - that's right. You can continue with talking, Hitomi.
Miya then wanted to grab her shoulder but she grabbed his hand before he could do it and asked him , what he wanted to do.

Miya: I-I just wanted to grab the salt.

She took the salt, pressed it in his hand and let his hand go. When they sat down, I saw that his writs was a bit blue - purple. Then kyioomi came to us and sat down too.

Shinobu: You two played very well today, Sakusa.

He just nodded his head and began to ate his food.

Shinobu: How did you know, that the ball was for you and not for Hitomi, Sakusa?

Kyioomi: I saw it.

Shinobu: His movements, you mean.

Kyioomi: Yes...how do you know that too.

Shinobu: Just like that.

Kyioomi: You mean that you helped him play like that.

Ayanokoji looked at him and then to me.

Hitomi: You helped him?!
Shinobu: Yes and No. I just showed him, how to play properly. That's all.

She turned to me.

Shinobu: Nothing against you, Toya.

Kyioomi: Why didn't you did something , so that your team could win against us?

Shinobu: I did but I then saw , that you Toay has the potential to play as a middleblocker but he is a libero and someday, he could be the best...or even better then the Ass.

Ayanokoji chocked on his food and I tried to not spit my water out.

Me[whisper]: You didn't had to say that!

Hitomi: Kocho,ahm. I think you didn't knew that, but Sakusa is our Ass (((^_^;)

Shinobu: Oh dear, I'm sorry but it is true. Your cousin is better than you. It's just the truth.

Hitomi: What did you say!? (ノ｀△')ノ

Shinobu: You heard me. And I didn't spoke to you, Ayanokoji. I talked to Kyioomi Sakusa.

Kyioomi looked at her and was more than annoyed of her.

Kyioomi: I don't care about that what you say. You just want to protect him. Or isn't it like that.

Shinobu: No, you misheard me. I'm better than him and you together, since I was playing volleyball myself.  So there's nothing to protect for me and why should I?

Me: C-Could you two sto-stop it. Everybody is looking at you two.

They ignored me fully.

Kyioomi: Then why don't you just leave us alone , when you think that your better than us.

Shinobu: We are on a trainings match, don't forget that. If that wouldn't be, I would never interact with you since your fucking annoying, Kyioomi.

Kyioomi: Then leave.

Shinobu: You can go first since you don't want to eat your food. Just take it with you upstairs because I just want to talk to Toyabut your always around him - aren't you.

He then went to far , so then the two Captains tried to stop them but Kyioomi grabbed her shirt and pulled her and said something to her.
Iizuna: That's enough!

Shinobu punched him in the stomach. He felt down on the floor and then she punched him in the face with force two times until I held her back, what then didn't worked out because she pushed me backwards and I fell on the table , what hurts like a bitch.

She then stopped out of nowhere but I didn't heard it because I faint away.
