*Thud*

*Thud*

The heavy footsteps rang through your ears as if somehow getting louder the further you ran.

"I need backup!" You said through your headset, hoping your team would be quick with this one.

'We're on our way, detonate the bomb as soon as you get cover. Don't let them defuse it.'

"Copy." You took cover in what looked to be the remanence of a nursery, pulling out everything you needed to make sure the detonation was clean and quick. Everything was such a blur, you had very little time to even do this properly.

"Did you lose that one!?"

"They went this way!"

"Find em'! Quickly, we can't let that bitch win."

Their voices were getting closer to your location, your heart beating faster than it already was. Your hands shook as you messed with the mechanics, setting the 3-minute timer once everything was secure. You pilled down your microphone "3-minute countdown. Evacuate the surrounding area." You flipped it back up, took a deep breath, and reached for your laptop.

"3 minutes huh? Don't even try to break it now."

You quickly looked to where the voice was coming from, all the relief in your body leaving and being replaced with fear. The voice was so oddly familiar, too familiar. You pulled at your balaclava, trying to hide more of your features. "Neutralize it." the german accent was thick in his voice, his figure coming out of the shadow of the room. How long had he been there?

"I can't do that" You mumbled, scooting closer to your laptop. You had to break it, there was no way you were going to risk failing this mission. "Stand up and back away from the laptop," he commanded while pointing his rifle at you, and motioning for you to get up and onto your feet.

You got up and backed away from the laptop,

His figure.

It reminded you of someone.

He pulled out his pistol, pointing it at you still as he went for the laptop. "How do you stop this." He grunted, clicking whatever he could see to try and stop the timer.

"You won't ever get it done in time. It's too late."

You slowly reached for your handgun every time he looked away from you and at the screen.

T-0:55

He grabbed his radio out of his vest holding it up to his hooded face "Evacuate. 50 seconds before it goes off, take anything you can." He sounded so stressed and panicked, pathetic.

He dropped the laptop, looking back at you.

Or rather.

The barrel of your gun.

There was some kind of sorrow in his eyes that looked from the gun and back at you.

"I never thought you'd be the one to be behind the gun." he sighed, lowering his barrel.

"Shut up! Keep taking and this will end right now." You snapped, glaring at him.

"You mean you're going to kill me?" He stepped forwards slightly, his eyes shining from the small amount of sunlight that entered the room.

His eyes...It cant be

You hesitated with your words

"I meant just that."
