"Get to room 105 for the first half of the 3rd stage!"

I went to my team's room to see that they were already getting up and ready to get to room 105

We used a shunshine to get there and once we entered we saw a large arena with a giant statue that looks like a hand sign...

We were the first team to arrive so we walked up the stairs to the small floor that lets you see over the arena

After around 5 minutes every team was in the room and then the Hokage spoke

"Normally we would already start the final part of the 3rd stage but in this case we're making an exception cause there are too many participants, you can interpret that 2 ways, that the chunin exams were easy this year round, or we have exceptional participants this year"

"However we cannot start the 3rd stage with this many people so we will be doing Preliminary rounds for the final part of the 3rd stage Hayate will explain the rest"

A proctor jumped down from a stand to the middle of the arena

"The rules of these fights will be that the match will only end if one of the fighters concede, die, or are unable to fight any longer in their match, though killing is allowed it does not mean we will tolerate it"

"The 2 screens you see on the wall will randomly pick a participant to come down and fight their opponent which will be picked on the 2nd screen"

"We will now begin the preliminary fights!"

The screens were cycling through names until both screens stopped on a name

"Uchiha Sasuke VS Yotsuki Darui!"

"Both fighters come down from the stands for the fight to begin"

Darui's POV

'Damn I have to go against the uchiha?'

I walked down the stands and stood across from the uchiha and took my stance

"Uchiha Sasuke VS Yotsuki Darui, FIGHT!"

I blitzed towards the uchiha getting ready to uppercut him right before he barely dodged but I noticed him wincing in pain after his eyes went red for just a second.

I took advantage of that opportunity and turned my body around spinning and kicking him in the face

Sending him to the walls of the arena, right before I could follow a fireball was shot straight towards me

I dodged to the right to avoid it but then I saw him right in front of me. I went for a punch but he crouched down and kicked me in the jaw, launching me into the air.

He then followed up with another kick to my back sending me higher up into the air.

He then appeared above me kicking me 5 times in a loop before I was sent to the ground and everything went dark
