Prologue: Wide Eyes And Red Cheeks

July,16th 2012

Michael's POV

Here I am at my cousin, Luke's, party in the corner hiding behind my sweater paws.

Luke just turned 15 and I'm visiting him for his birthday considering he's my favorite cousin. We literally did everything together and we were so close...until he moved from Sydney to Melbourne.

We're still pretty close but not like we use to be. He's more into his new friends now, but I understand. I just miss him sometimes. But we try to stay in touch as much as possible.

So right now he's with his friends while I sit in the corner and be the loner I am.

Out of the corner of my eye I see one of Luke's friends staring at me, I think his name is Calvin or something. I just ignore him until he walks over to me.

"Hey, you're Luke's cousin, right?" He asks. I nod. "You're cute." he says woth a smirk. Then walks away leaving me a blushing mess.

It was during the middle of the party when I seen Calvin again. He was just in the corner eyeing me. I hot uncomfortable so I moved and went to the window. It was late at night so the stars were out. I love the stars. They're so beautiful.

"Beautiful night, huh?" I hear a voice say. I turn to see Calvin standing there I blush and nod slowly looking out the window once again. I can feel his eyes on me but I try to ignore him.

It failed.

I look at him and was about to say something until he says, "Who stole all the stars and put them in your beautiful emerald eyes?". I looked at him with wide eyes and red cheeks.

I quickly look down and bite me lip to hold my smile. Then I feel a finger under my chin pulling my face up gently so I was looking at him. "I just realized I never caught your name, kitten." He says with a smile. I swear that smile can cure every disease in the world. "M-michael" I say shyly playing with my fingers. "I'm Calum" he says happily. I was close to his name. "So... Michael are yo-" Calum was cut off by my Luke.

"Hey Cal wanna play FIFA?" He asked. Calum looks at me then to Luke."Uh sure" he answers as Luke rushes upstairs to start his game. Calum grabs my hand and leads me upstairs as well to join them.

Luckily he didn't catch my blush...did he?

Three games of FIFA later and I'm sitting on the bed watching my cousin and his friend argue.

"You cheated!" Luke yelled.

"How did I cheat. You're just a sore loser!" Calum responded.

They went back and forth for a while until I got annoyed and threw Luke's pillows at them. They both looked at me shocked and I just broke out into a fit of giggles. Luke glared at me and Calum just smiled. "Oh you're gonna get it, Clifford!" Luke said picking up the pillow and hitting me. "Bring it on, Hemmings!" I said and picked up another pillow. We started having a mini pillow fight before Calum tackled us in a hug and said "Guys, just cuddle it out". Me and Luke looked at each other then smirked as we both started attacking Calum.

He just curled up in a ball and let out cute little giggles. Luke and I decided he's had enough and we all played down on his bed me on the left, Calum in the middle, and Luke on the right. We just played in a comfortable silence catching our breaths.

Calum stares at me while I'm still panting heavily and I look right back at him. He bites his bottom lip still staring at me. "Uh, Cal do you have a boner?" I hear Luke suddenly ask. I look down to see that Calum did indeed have a hard on...let's just say it's not small...

I blush when I hear Calum whisper, "I only have a boner because of how sexy you looked panting like that". When he sees my expression he smirks and winks at me before he excuses himself to the bathroom.

When he left I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding...

Today is the day I leave Melbourne and go back to Sydney. I'm sad obviously because I'm gonna miss my cousin... But also because I think I really like Calum.

We were leaving really early but since Calum spent the night we got to say goodbye to each other.

What's weird to me is I just met Calum a day ago and it feels like I've known him for years.

When I'm leaving I hug my cousin and my Aunt Liz and Uncle Andrew. Then I get to Calum who pulls me into a huge hug that I gladly accept.

It wasn't til my mom cleared her throat that we stepped away and blushed. We waved goodbye and I got into the taxi that's taking us to the airport.

While the taxi drives away I look to the back window to see Calum looking a bit sad and Luke trying to cheer him up.

I hope we come back soon. I think to myself as I put my headphones in and put my music on shuffle and coincidentally I miss you by blink-182 is the song that plays...
