11 𓇬 To The Library!

It was quite a surprise, when i woke up to find Gilgamesh by my side.

I quickly retract my hand from his chest, then i remember that there is kind of a reason for him being here..

That reason being he's incredibly stubborn about stupid random things for no reason.

He returns my gaze as i look up at him and he lets out a sigh..

"You're awake, about time! I've been dreadfully bored while you slept"

"Mhm, i can imagine"

I can barely reply in the half asleep state i'm in.

Isn't he a servant?

Shouldn't he be doing... anything?

So, i ask, "Shouldn't you be busy?" pushing myself to sit up.

There he goes again..

At least he maintained eye contact for, what was it, a whole thirty seconds before his gaze drifted.. lower.

"Tokiomi has yet to find any task worthy of my time"

I thought the Holy Grail War would be more fighting, less sitting around.

Maybe, it's just like that for him...

But i have to deal with my fathers punishment, if he can't send me away he's going to try and bore me to death it seems..

"Well, i have things to do today"

"Hm? Like what?"

"My father wants me to research all the masters and servants so i'll be heading to the library in town"

"I will join you, i'm interested to see what libraries are like in this world"

"This is pathetic..."

Gilgamesh had been grumbling beside me since we arrived.

"You couldn't have had high hopes for this"

I can't help but laugh at his disgust with public libraries.

He glares at the boring room as if cursing it for even existing.

"Of course, i didn't. But this is truly repulsive..."

After grabbing a few books, we sit at a table in the corner of the room

Obviously, this wasn't a well-liked decision..

"We could have taken the books back to the manor"

He continues to grumble as he sits laid back in the chair beside me.

"Then i'd have to come back and return them, this is much easier"

I try to explain to him, even though i'm aware that nothing will stop his complaining.

I am glad he came though, it made it at least slightly less boring...

I started reading, ignoring the fact that Gilgamesh is glaring at every single person that walks by us..
