~ BUS STOP ~

ITALY, POVEGLIANO VERONESE

WEDNESDAY, 7:14 AM

In the company of Millie in disguise, Loris headed to the usual stop to catch a bus to take him to school. That morning was foggy, mysterious and cold, plus there were only the two of them.

Millie: "Do you take the bus here every morning? It's so lonely and strange!" she said putting the hood well over her head.

She had dressed in a dark green sweatshirt with lots of hood, a bandana, sunglasses, black combat gloves, black pants, but no shoes to cover her clogs.

Loris: "Yes, every morning. But usually there has never been this strange feeling. More guys should come." he replied thoughtfully, looking around so as not to see anyone.

Millie: "Perhaps they were too lazy to go out in the cold." she chuckled cheerfully.

Loris: "Probable..." he said, smiling.

Millie: "How I hate those holograms!!! If I could I would burn them with a flamethrower!!!" she muttered irritably as she looked at the Eye Of Earth advertising holograms attached to the light poles.

Loris: "They plastered the whole city with those digital signs, and they seriously believe they are getting richer?" he said sarcastically.

Millie: "Then they didn't understand shit about life!" she muttered satisfied for their bad move.

Immersed in the fog, Loris saw two bright headlights coming closer and closer to the bus stop; it was their bus.

Loris: "Something is wrong." he murmured worriedly.

Millie: "What do you mean?"

Loris: "See for yourself..." he said surprised with seriousness.

A shabby old bus pulled up to their stop as the sound of brakes made the protagonists' blood run cold. They could not see inside because of the fogged up windows, so they walked to one of the three dirty doors and boarded the bus noticing immediately that it was completely empty except for two frightened ladies standing there tensioning themselves with yellow metal pipes so that they would not fall off due to sudden braking. Then they looked toward the driver noticing a group of gangsters threatening the poor driver while some of them stared ruefully at Loris and Millie in disguise. The protagonists immediately looked away and attempting to get out of the bus the doors closed quickly as the public vehicle took off like mad. Loris and Millie almost fell and managed to sit down, but in a state of discomfort and fear.

Millie: "We are trapped! We have to find a way to stop this bus, and then those guys are dangerous!" she whispered in panic to Loris.

Loris: "How? Those guys will kill us!!! Millie, am I mistaken, or are you good at hand to hand combat?" he whispered to her.

Millie: "To make me think well, I could solve it this way! Take!" she whispered, handing him without showing him a combat knife.

Loris: "I can't fight!!!" he muttered in panic at the sight of the weapon.

Millie: "It's time to learn, Loris!" he murmured optimistically.

Loris took the weapon and immediately hid it in his pocket, then Millie stood up trying not to lose her balance and drew the gangsters.

Millie: "Hey!!! Wimps!!! Leave him alone or there will be trouble for you!!!" she exclaimed menacingly to the gangsters.

The gangsters stared at her hatefully, pulling knives out of their pockets ready to hurt Millie.
