"Nah but I think Kiki is right!" Riya said and Aditi nodded
"I felt the same but still..." Aditi dragged and earned a glare from Riya
Currently, the girl gang was in the canteen waiting for their next class and discussing Aditi's future date with Aravind.
"Send me your location before you go!" Aishwarya added and earned a glare from keerthana
"He is my brother!" She mumbled
"So?" Aishwarya fired and keerthana shook her head in defence.
"Alright, shall we leave?" Keerthana asked and Aishwarya nodded drinking water and rushing
"Alright, I shall leave too!" Aditi said and packed her bag

Riya smiled at the couple who just walked around and focused on her Milkshake.
She had a class in about 10 minutes but there was not even 10% motivation for her to attend.
It might be because it was a Monday or maybe She knew Sameer was gone there in her same class.
Think of the devil and the devil arrives.
"Hey, Riyaa!" Sameer said softly making her look up.
He had raised his hand to his tummy level waving at her.
Riya could not help but think of the time when he had a school lunch bag in his hand and a school bag on his shoulders, his messed up hair in his clean green uniform.
Riya saw the same except for the lunch bag , uniform and school bag there was a backpack and a different haircut with a slight beard.
She knew she had to face him, she knew she had to spend an hour together around 4 walls with him!
Was she prepared for that? Nah she was not but she was prepared to ignore him and pretend like paying attention to the class.
His Maroon sweatshirt and white joggers coincidently matched her maroon dress and the wind passing by made it look so good that the passers-by thought they were a couple who were patching up after a breakup.
"What are you doing here Sameer?" Riya asked still not facing him
"I just saw you and-"
"I am not asking that! What are you doing in Banglore? You were supposed to be in Chennai!" Riya asked and Sameer nodded
"Last minute plans and I had to shift to Banglore!" He said and Riya went silent

A last-minute plan by him and his family years ago destroyed her.
"I...I am sorry!" Sameer said softly after a few seconds of silence making Riya smile sadly

"For what? " She asked
"I. I should have at least informed you before leaving it was immature of me!"
Riya wants to ask so many questions! She was there for him every time and every day, whenever he fell and when he raised but he left her as if she was nothing but a classmate of his.
Riya wanted to slap him hard across his cheeks for leaving her but she would not - what can she do when he was never hers to fight!
Sameer was a man Riya saw everything - perfection, pretty, pain and pity
But now seeing the same man sit beside her in the canteen area and look at her as if he was looking at something which was beyond magic, Riya found herself yet again losing herself.
She was fighting the urge to stop herself from slapping her face warning her to lose herself yet again.
"Oviya and I broke up!" He announced and Riya yet again smiled sadly
"I am sure you guys will patch up again! That's not new to you both" she said making Sameer understand that she was still angry and hurt.
"I did not leave Chennai because of her Riya! It was a family emergency and-"
"You don't have to explain to me, Sameer!" She cut him off making the place fall into silence
"You liked me! You deserve an explanation " Sameer said
If something killed him in 3 years then it was this! He knew Riya had something to him and he was in a stage where he would neither accept it nor reject so man choose to ignore it.
"Yeah, I did Sameer! So glad you know it but as you said it's 'liked' not like! I..I no longer feel something for you" she said
"I did not expect anything from you Sameer not now nor in the past! Everything I did was something I wanted to and if the feeling you feel now is pity or sympathy then kill it! I don't need those " Riya said and gulped the lump in her throat
"Also! I do not want Dev or anyone in our college to know about you or me! I am just your classmate in middle school!"Riya said as she stood up
"I don't wanna be strangers with you Riya! I can never be especially with you" Sameer said
"You're still my Friend Sameer" riya added before standing up from the bench and walking away
As riya walked away, she felt something in her heal , the rage, the anger, the pain of holding back so much for years finally let out made her feel good.
In between the mess, Riya and Sameer understood how much said words and feelings played.
