Hey Guys!!!!

Welcome to the new book.

So, I want to point out a little fact. Farah is going to be older than she should be, because she has a pretty important part in here and she can't be 10 to play that important part. Everyone else stays the same.

Love to you all, and ENJOY!

************************************

I can't feel anything. Not because I have my emotions off. Because when she does come back, I'll be ready. I'll be myself.

No, I can't feel anything because of the booze.

I don't remember everything from the last 7 years. I remember that there were birthdays. Sam turned 15 this year. Evie would've turned 23. Ricky would still be 22, almost 23.

I can't bear to think about... Her.

She's still on the other side while Tatia Petrova struts around in her body. I miss her.

Sometimes I see her. At the Lockwood Mansion, in the woods, here at the boarding house.

We all moved back to Mystic Falls.

Now Jade and Christian run the show while Stefan and I drown in grief.

Yup. I said it. Not alcohol, not anger. Grief. We both lost one of our children and our soulmates. I imagine that Jade and Christian feel half of the pain we do, since both of them shared a blood bond with Ricky and Evie. Farah is now 13 years old as of 15 days ago.

See? I remember some things.

But sometimes I don't remember she's gone, and when I wake up in the morning I expect to see her lying next to me. Then it all comes rushing back.

If I keep reliving history enough times, maybe I can find some sort of peace.

I walk downstairs and Farah sits there, pushing things around her plate. "Where's your Dad?"

"He won't come out today. It's Ricky's birthday." She mumbles. Jade offers me some pancakes and I shake my head. Her eyes are swollen and red, so I know she's been crying.

"Uncle Damon, when are we going to get them back?" I look at my niece, who resembles Katherine down to the feisty, demanding look in her eye.

"I don't know."

"Maybe we should call Aunt Ariana! At least she won't sit on her ass drinking!"

"Watch your mouth."

"No! I want my brother and my mom back! I know Dad wants them back too, so what the hell are you waiting for?!?"

"I don't know, Farah! 100 people! That's how many need to die to bring all 4 of them back! I don't know how to do that yet! So just live a couple more weeks. Meanwhile, I'll be looking for different solutions like I have been for the last 4 years." She storms out of the room. Sam walks in. "Morning, son."

"Hey Dad." He mumbles. Sam grabs a bowl of cereal then goes back in his room. I take out my phone once I get back upstairs. I scroll through my contacts, and when I reach the bottom, I scroll back up to my sister's number. I haven't seen or spoke to her in over 7 years, since the night of the sacrifice.

I press the call button.

"Hello?"

"Ariana? It's... Damon."

"Oh... Hi."

"I know I said that I didn't want anything to do with you, but... I want her back. I can't live without her anymore."

"Damon, I don't know what I can do."

"I have a friend that knows a spell. I'll do all the dirty work, I just need you to do the witchy work around."

"Alright. Are you in Mystic Falls?"

"Yeah."

"Good. I'll be over in 10." She hangs up and I take a shower then I go over to Farah's room. I knock.

"Go away!"

"Farah, I need to tell you something." She opens the door, her eyes filled with tears. She crosses her arms then sits down on the bed. I sit down next to her. "You were right. I shouldn't have been that way for so long. So I called Aunt Ari, and she's going to help us. But I want you to stay as far away from it as possible." Her jaw drops.

"No! This is my brother and my Mom! I want to help!"

"Farah, I'm going to have to kill a lot of people. I need you to stay out of this until I say otherwise. Can you do that? Please?" She sighs then nods, giving in. "Alright. Just remember that I can't snap my fingers and make this happen. It'll take some time. So you'll have to be patient with me." She nods and I get up.

"Alright. See you later Monkey." I knock on Sam's door. There's some heavy music playing on the other side of the door. He opens it up after pausing it. "What?"

"Are you ready to get your Mom and Evie back?" He smiles for the first time in 7 years. "Really?" I nod at him then the door opens downstairs. We walk downstairs and Ariana stands at the door. She wraps her arms around my neck. "Hey brother."

"Hey sis." She pulls away then before I know it, she pulls her hand back and I feel a stinging on my left cheek.

"Ow! What was that for?!?"

"Don't you ever do that to me again! I've been worried sick about you! I thought you were dead!"

"No, I'm perfectly alive!" She sighs then walks further into the house.

"Okay. So what is this spell?"

"100 souls." Her jaw drops. "100 people?!? You have to KILL 100 people?!?" I put my hands up in defense. "Would you rather me be dead? Because that's what I feel every minute she isn't here!"

"How are you even going to get Tatia?"

"That's where you come in." She sighs.

"What do you need?"

"The spell has to be done under a blood moon. There's one coming up in 3 months, in September. Blood of innocents, blood moon, irony. You and Bonnie will do the spell together. There's a weird ritual that has to be performed." Bonnie walks in at that moment. "I got the spell, Damon."

"So what does this spell achieve?" Ari asks.

"It gives us a link to the other side. From there, we'll have one day to get Tatia out of Elena. Farah will get Ricky, Sam will get Evie, I'll get Elena, Stefan'll get Katherine. We just need you to go the spell."

"Damon, there are a few preparations in this. You have to have the blood from the 100 souls all mixed together. And if you drink from them, I'll make you regret it." I hold up my hands in mock surrender. "Got it. Okay, so now we start murdering people."

"But how? How are we going to get 100 people?" Ariana asks. "Well," Bonnie starts, "we need 50 men and 50 women." I smirk.

"I think I know two young, attractive vampires that will do anything to bring back the people they love." Bonnie smiles. Ariana looks between us, clueless. At that moment Jade comes out of the kitchen and Christian walks down the stairs.

"Oh..."
