A Dinner Party and An Announcement

I mess with Damon's silky, unkempt hair in an attempt to tame it. "Elena..."

"Shush." He sighs. "Elena, my hair is naturally like this." I groan. "You know half the reason you fell in love with me is the hair, right?"

"No, I fell in love with your heart. The sexiness is a plus." He smacks me on the behind and my jaw drops open. "Damon!"

"Yes Elena?"

"Inappropriate! There are kids in the house with vampire hearing. And Caroline." A glass smashes downstairs and we both grin. He wraps his arms around my waist as I continue to tame his hair.

"Elena, we can't be late to a party we're hosting."

"It's a dinner party, babe. There's a difference. It's late anytime the cook, meaning you, decides to serve his dish when someone isn't there. Come to think about it, you have all the power."

"For the last few days I've had all the power in bed too." We hear a disgusted groan from downstairs. "Mom, Dad, get your asses down here before I decide to head upstairs with Christian!"

"If you do, I'll slip vervain into everything, young lady." We head downstairs, Damon in a suit and me in a black dress that flows down to my knees.

"Finally you two." Damon puts all the food on the table while I sit down and Evie talks quietly with Christian.

"-slept together, do they?" I choke on the wine I was drinking and Evie looks at me with wide eyes. 'I can explain' she mouths. I take a drink of my wine, giving her the 'tell your father or I will' look. She grimaces and sighs.

"Dinner is served." Damon made ravioli with meatballs and garlic bread and some Italian pork roast that he got from a deli in Richmond.

"I am the luckiest girl in the world." Damon smiles at me.

"3 reasons." Kath challenges, smiling playfully at me. "1," I gesture to his face, "2," I gesture to the food, "3." I point to the kids. He kisses me and I smile. "4." He murmurs. The kids fake gag while Ricky and Farah laugh at them. Farah's grown up so much. She has Kath's brown eyes and brown hair, but looking at her face, you can tell she's Stefan's daughter.

"So. Shall we toast?" Damon says, lifting his glass. I do too, then my stomach starts churning. "To life and family. Cheers!" We lift the glasses and clink them together in the middle. I take a few deep breaths. "Are you okay, Elena?" I shake my head then I dart for the nearest bathroom. "Elena!" Damon runs after me as I throw up everything in my stomach. He holds my hair back and closes the door. "Elena..." I stop throwing up after about 5 minutes. "You've been throwing up for the last 2 weeks, Elena. We need to see Meredith." I think for a moment. Oh shit. "I'll be right back. I just need to brush my teeth."

"I'll come with you."

"Damon, I'll be fine."

"Elena-"

"Damon, go tend to our guests, I'll be down in a few minutes, okay?" He nods, unsure and I walk upstairs and take out a pregnancy test.

DAMON

I don't know if she's okay. She keeps telling me she'll be fine, and I know she's strong, but I can't help but worry. That's my job.

After about 5 minutes, she comes down the stairs with a huge, goofy, grin slathered across her beautiful face. She takes her glass and taps on it lightly. We all look at her. What the hell is going on?

"Well... I guess there's something else to celebrate." Kath gasps and starts freaking out. "OH. MY. GOD!!!!"

"Chill, Kath." Stefan says to her. She sits down and clamps her mouth shut.

"Would everyone be so kind and give a warm welcome to baby Salvatore?" My eyes light up and everyone cheers. I pull her down on my lap and I kiss her. She wraps an arm around my neck.

"Brush your teeth, hm?"

"Shut up."

Sorry it's shorter, it was mainly just to introduce baby Salvatore and a cute filler chapter!!!
