I walk downstairs, one hand on my bump and the other at my side. I head into the kitchen and Damon stands at the stove. "Morning sunshine." I groan. "My feet hurt and my head hurts."

"Bacon and orange juice is the cure."

"So is Tylenol." He smiles at me. "I wanted to run something by you." I nod a little. "What do you say we have a night to ourselves. We've been so busy with the kids and everything else. I was thinking this morning that we've never been to an actual dinner where we sat down and talked-" I put my finger on his lips. "You're babbling and it's cute. Mr. Salvatore, are you asking me on a date?"

"Yes. I am." I smile.

"I'd love to go on a date with you." He smiles then presses his lips to mine. "How's Caleb treating you?"

"I'm 6 months pregnant and I've never been this irritable. Even with Sam."

"Sam I am?" He comes into the kitchen. "So, how are you doing, Sam?"

"Fine." He tries to go upstairs. "Samuel Grayson Salvatore, sit your ass down." He groans then sits next to me. "Tell me. Who's that girl you've been hanging out with?"

"What girl?"

"The one you brought to the house the other night." He groans. "I thought everyone was asleep."

"Moms don't sleep. What's her name?"

"Her name is Juliette."

"Hm. And are you her Romeo?" He sighs. "I love you honey!"

"Love you too Mom." He mutters. I smile as he skulks up the stairs. I press my lips to Damon's.

"Everything is going to be good. This baby is our main focus." I raise an eyebrow. "Along with our other babies. Like the one getting married and the one having sex." My eyes go wide. "What?!?"

"Yeah, Juliette and him aren't talking when they come here." I bury my head in my hands. "Damon Giuseppe! That's our son you're talking about!"

"Elena, he's not 9 years old anymore. He's sixteen."

"Does he have protection?"

"Yes. I was better than Stefan when you were gone. Not very much better, but I was still a father to him." I sigh then I nod. "Mom?" Farah wanders downstairs. "I think she and your Dad are still asleep, sweetheart. You should probably start getting ready for school."

"Okay." She walks upstairs and I stand up. I snatch a couple pieces of bacon off the plate and I take a bite of some toast.

"You know Damon, I was thinking..."

"Uh oh."

"I think I should get a job."

"A job?" He tilts his head at me. "Where?"

"Well, I always wanted to be a doctor. Meredith said that after Caleb is born she would try to get me a job as a nurse."

"When did this want for a job start? We have enough money to last us 8 lifetimes."

"And when those 8 lifetimes run down?" He sighs. "Damon, I want to work. I don't want to do the stay at home Mom thing anymore."

"Why not?"

"Because it just... Doesn't fit me. I love you and I love our children, but I want to help people. If I'm going to be on this earth for 8 more lifetimes then I want to help society." He rubs my shoulders. "You're sure this is what you want?"

"Yes. And while I'm a nurse I'm going to use my days off to go to college. Then I can earn my doctorate and become a doctor."

"You've got this all figured out..."
