"You... What?" I sigh. "Before I died, Christian and I slept together. I'm sorry, but it was my last normal night on Earth when I'm not seeing my cousin slaughtered for a sacrifice." I storm out of the room and into my room that I now share with Christian.

"I assume that I need to move to outer space?"

"He'll get over it." I flop down on the bed and I intertwine our fingers. "How's the planning going?"

"Good. I'm working on my Dad, I haven't told him about the planning yet."

"You should. While you were gone, your Dad and I actually got along. I want that again, because you're my life, and if your Dad doesn't approve-"

"I'm 23 years old now. As much as he hates it, he can't control my life."

"Alright. I still want you to tell him that we're getting married."

"He knows that we're engaged, he just doesn't know about the wedding."

"Tell him."

"But-" He points to the door and I get up, scowling. I find my Dad down on the couch. Mom's head lays on his shoulder as she sleeps.

"Dad?" I say softly. He turns and looks at me then presses his lips to her forehead. He lays her head on a pillow then we go into the kitchen.

"Are you still pissed at me?"

"No. I know your reasons. I was just upset. I don't want you to grow up." I sigh. "Dad, I'm 23 years old. I was hoping that you'd be okay with the fact that..." I sigh, hesitating. "What is it? Evie, you can tell me anything."

"I'm starting to plan my wedding." He stares at my face and I stare back, looking for any hint of disapproval or anger. All he does is begin to make a sandwich. "When."

"We were thinking September."

"That's around the time your Mom is due."

"Dad, I want to marry Christian. But we won't if we don't have your approval." He puts the food on a plate and looks at me. "Fine. If you're happy, I'm happy."

"I am happy."

"Good." He takes the sandwich into the living room then rests Mom's head back on his chest. I head back upstairs and Christian is grinning.

"Didn't anyone ever tell you it's rude to eavesdrop?"

"Not yet," he admits. He pulls me down onto the bed. "My Dad is downstairs, Christian..."

"Then we'll have to be quick." He whispers quietly to me.

Elena's POV

I wake up and Damon's in the same place, his chest pinned down by my head. "Hi you," he murmurs. "Hey back. How long was I asleep?"

"About 2 hours." He gently strokes my stomach and I smile. "What do you think it'll be?"

"I think it's a boy. I don't know why, I just think it is."

"I'm betting on a girl." She smiles. "I think we should name a boy Caleb."

"Why Caleb?"

"I don't know. I just like the name."

"Caleb or Alison."

"I thought her name would be Ally."

"Ally for short. What middle name for Caleb?"

"I don't know. I think we should cross that bridge when we get to it. Like when I actually have the baby." He laughs and I stand up. "When's your appointment with Meredith?"
