Hazel placed her knife and fork on the half-empty plate before taking a small sip of the glass of water across from the plate.
She then heard the door open causing her eyes to naturally shift so she was looking at him.
"I've finished.
I'll grab my bag and go" she said before moving so she could stand up.
"Sit the hell back down" he said causing her to freeze.
"What?
I thought you wanted me to leave" she said.
He looked at her with rage in his eyes.
She then quickly sat back down so she didn't see the rage inside him.
"You're not going anywhere.
Those men that attacked you have a fuck tone of numbers and they want your head on a fucking stick.
You will not leave this house until I tell you to and if you disobey me I will throw you to them and watch what they do to a tiny thing like you.
Do you understand?" he said.
She looked into his eyes as fear swallowed her.
She didn't want to die but she also didn't want to stay with him.
"Can I go to the police?
I don't feel comfortable here" she said.
"I don't fucking care what you want.
Don't act like either of us have a choice.
I was looking forward to seeing you leave" he said.
"Someone will come looking for me," she said.
"Trust me you little pest no one will find you here.
Once it's safe I will let you go" he said before walking towards the door.
"Are you doing this to protect me?" she asked as his words made her mind spin.
He stopped moving before looking at her "Im doing this to avoid having to deal with some bloodthirsty gang.
I don't care about you and I will never care about you as all you do is get on my fucking nerves" he said before walking out of the room.
"Wait? she said before rushing to the door.
"What?" he said as his annoyance sent chills down her spine.
"Where do you want me to go?" she said.
He looked at her before groaning.
"Follow me," he said before walking into the right side of the mansion.
Hazel followed him until he brought her to what she thought was a guest room.
"This will be your room.
Do me a favour and don't leave it unless it's necessary" he said before walking away.
She then walked into the room to see a beautiful large room.
She looked around before flopping on the bed.
Hazel didn't trust her saviour but enjoyed not having to sleep in an alleyway or on her sister's couch.
Hazel looked up at the ceiling before sitting up to take her shoes off knowing that she wouldn't need them for a while now.
She didn't really want to explore the mansion as she didn't want to know what secrets he could be hiding.
She then walked into the bathroom before exploring each drawer and compartment.
Everything was empty and covered in a thin layer of dust which showed her that he was similar to her.
They both enjoyed being alone.
She had studied him the minute she walked out of his bedroom and realised that he was a lone wolf.
The house was empty and almost hollow.
She didn't mind it though as seeing hundreds of people after last night would have made her feel sick.
Hazel then continued to explore the room as she started to get used to her new tempory home.
