That night Hazel groaned as she began to wake up after falling asleep in Claude's arms.
She fluttered her eyes open before freezing as she saw Claude sleeping across from her as he kept his arms tightly wrapped around her to protect her which only made her more flustered.
She looked at him before looking at the clock mounted on her wall to see that it was close to 3:00 am.
She then cuddled back into her bed hoping she could go back to sleep before waking up minutes later realising that she was wide awake.
Suddenly she felt Claude shift before he woke up.
"What are you doing awake?" he asked as his voice became more gravely from him being half asleep which caused Hazel's heart to race in her chest.
"I'm wide awake" she whispered.
"Where are your sleeping pills?" he asked.
"In the bathroom," she said.
He then went to get up before she grabbed his shirt.
"Can we stay here for a little while?" she asked knowing in the morning Claude would be back to his angry self and this night would be nothing but a faded memory.
He looked at her before getting back into bed.
She looked at him before biting her lip as he wrapped his arms around her.
Hazel then looked up meeting his eyes causing her to feel lightheaded.
Butterflies filled her as her mind became fully aware of everything going on.
She was cuddling with Claude.
"Try to go to sleep," he said.
"Can I just stay like this until I get tired?
You have really pretty eyes" she said as her mind became fuzzy causing her to say things she wasn't brave enough to say when she was fully awake.
He smirked "I have pretty eyes?" he asked.
She nodded "The prettiest" she said.
He looked at her before looking at her plump pink lips that looked like they were waiting just for his lips.
He then looked back into her eyes before leaning in.
Hazel froze as Claude kissed her.
She couldn't move as her mind began to fail.
Hazel stayed like that for a few seconds before relaxing.
She kissed back causing him to smirk as they shared a soft intimate kiss.
Hazel then broke from him before looking into his eyes "Get some sleep" he said.
She looked at him before yawning as he began to soothe her.
She then melted into his chest as he began to run his fingers through her hair.
Hazel hummed from the feeling as suddenly sadness washed over her as she realised that tomorrow he wouldn't say that this night happened.
He would lock the memory away like he did with everything and that was what she hated the most as she was starting to feel things for him.
Everything he did affected her in some ways and as time passed the more she became less afraid of how unpredictable he was.
He was two-faced and she wished he wasn't but in a way, she wasn't that bothered as it was who he was and she was being to adore every little thing about him no matter how rough his edges were.
Hazel then slowly drifted off to sleep as she let herself melt and relax.
