"WELL, the test will be over after our next meeting. How do things look on both of your ends?" Horikita asked me and Ayanokouji. Today was the final day of the test. The world outside was already cloaked in darkness. Carrying a conversation through chat would leave a traceable record. To avoid that, we'd met in person.
"It looks like the VIP is going to get away. How about you?"
"I'll win."
"You sure you haven't made a mistake?"
"I'm not sure who might be listening to us right now, so I won't go into detail. I'll just ask that you believe in me. Everything will be fine."
She looked at me before looking back at Ayanokouji.
"So you finally noticed him?"
"We've talked about it. He apologized for what he did to me in the last special test as long as he doesn't do it again. That is all."
Ayanokouji eyed at me before looking at Horikita again. "You are absolutely certain that you'll win?"
"Do you want me to consult you?"
"No, it's fine. If you're not worried about anything, then that's all then. Well, see you two later." He stood up and left. Just after that, Horikita got a message, sending a relieved sigh.
"Chabashira-sensei messaged me. The message's here." She should me the message Chabashira sent. After confirming that I've read it, she placed her phone away.
"Cool. Since you informed the class about what's happening, the emails Chabashira sent out to specific people should work, right?"
"No, it would work." Horikita stood up and faced me. "I need to win. I don't know why the both of you truly pushed at the credit to me but this time, I'm going to have to prove to my class."
"Why's that?"
"What happens when they find out that I wasn't the one who did it, idiot?"
"Eh fair." I stood up as well looked towards the ocean. "I should get going, good luck with your plan. Don't mess up."
"Thank you, and you too don't mess up."
