A Few Days Later

It's been three days since I asked Aurora to be my girlfriend.

She seems to just shine more and more everyday. She talks to my parents more, she's still closed off but open at the same time.

She makes me feel wanted and it's a great feeling i'm not used to. She keeps me calm and I love that someone is finally able to calm the storm that seems to always run in my head.

She's like my Anchor.

And I think i'm hers to.

I decided to make a fun little date with Aurora today.

We are both in our sweats and My hoodies.

I'm in the kitchen grabbing some snacks from the pantry while Rora is talking to my mom about 'girl stuff' their words not mine.

Once I find what me and her both want I walk out to see them laughing about something. I walk over there and kiss Aurora on the crown of her head, she looks up at me and smiles.

I look to mom and she looks like she's going to pass out, I lift a brow at her and she sniffles, "I just can't take how cute you guys are." As she starts to wipe away her tears.

I look at her in shock mom never cries.

I look down to Aurora and whispered in her ear, "Did you break my mom?" She laughs as my mom swats my arm.

I laugh and pull mama into a quick hug before I pull Aurora out the door before she can start another conversation with my mama.

I walk over to my Jeep and open the door for her as I walk to the other side and hop in. I connected my phone to my car and whatever song was on keeps playing.

The next song got me singing. Of course I got to sing to my girl.

'Just The Way You Are' by Bruno Mars.

"Oh, her eyes, her eyes"
"Make the stars look like they're not shinin'"
"Her hair, her hair"
"Falls perfectly without her tryin'"
"She's so beautiful and I tell her everyday"
"Yeah, I know, I know"
"When I compliment her, she won't believe me"
"And it's so, it's so"

I keep singing as I pull the car over and put it in park.

I gently grab her jaw and sing.

"When I see your face"
"There's not a thing that I would change"
'"Cause you're amazing"
"Just the way you are"
"And when you smile"
"The whole world stops and stares for a while"
'"Cause girl, you're amazing"
"Just the way you are"
"Yeah!"
"Her lips, her lips"
"I could kiss them all day if she'd let me"
"Her laugh, her laugh"
"She hates, but I think it's so sexy"
"She's so beautiful and I tell her everyday"
"Oh, you know, you know, you know I'd never ask you to change"
"If perfect's what you're searchin' for, then just stay the same"
"So don't even bother askin' if you look okay"
"You know I'll say"
