Gray's POV                                                                                                                                                                               I opened the door as soon as I saw Player car pull up in the driveway. "How are my girls? You better be treating them well!"

I laugh and bring him into a hug, "Always." Player looked around me, "Where's the Birthday girl?"

"I sent her to get Carmen," I reply opening the house door.

"SCARLETT!!" Carmen shouts, "NOO!!"

Player and I exchange worried glances, and start running to where we heard the screaming. There was major worry in Player's eyes, I could see it. I'm sure my eyes were full of worry aswell. Carmen called out to Scarlett, something must've happened.

"Red," Player called when we looked around the kitchen, "Red? Carmen!!" Play spots her first in the Living Room on the floor.

I rush to her side and set her on my lap. Her messy bun that she had on earlier became undone, and her hair was loose. "Carmen! Carmen, babe, wake up please!" I move hair from her eyes. I look up to Player. He looks like he's on the verge of tears. Then it hits me: He's never actually seen her passed out, helpless. He was always in his room in Canada behind a screen.

I shake Carmen, "Carmen, please, wake up!"

Carmen's eyes squint and she groans softly. Her eyes flutter open to reveal her beautiful gray-blue eyes. "Scarlett. . ." She mutters softly.

Suddenly aware my daughter's absence, I look around. My heart begins to race. I look at Player, his facial expression is filled with as much worry as mine. "Carmen, I need you think, where is Scarlett?"

Carmen looks around, thinking, grabbing her barrings, before her eyes filled with tears and flung her arms around my neck, sobbing into my chest, "I couldn't save her! She's the greatest thing that's happened to me, and I couldn't even keep her safe!"

I softly shush her and rub her back, "Shh, Honey, I need you to explain better. Keep Scarlett safe from who?"

Her next words took my breath away, "V.I.L.E." She continued to hug me for comfort and I didn't object. "C-Coach Brunt came and put me in a choke hold and asked about Scarlett. To protect her, I lied. She knew I was lying, and Scarlett came into the Living Room and The Cleaner put her in a bag and hauled her out the door. The last thing I remember is feeling something hit me and passing out." Carmen resumed to tear and Player patted her back while I held her, and let her cuddle in my arms.

"H-heyy!! Let's get this party star-ted!!-oh. . ." Zach and his sister Ivy came through the hallway in happy moods till they saw Carmen in tears. Ivy rushed to us and laid her hand on her back asking what's wrong. Zach looked around as if he was missing something, "Where's Scarlett?"

"Gone," Player muttered, "V.I.L.E. somehow knew Carmen had a baby and no doubt they're gonna try to turn her into the evil version of Carmen."

We all shuddered at the memory of The Dark Red Caper. We were all hurt in different ways. Luckily,  from what I'm told, we were able to change Carmen back before doing something she'd never ever do.

"And most likely, V.I.L.E will erase all the memories that young Scarlett have had with her parents," Shadowsan walks through the back door, "I'm sorry for you loss, I will do what I can to help bring her back from that retched place." I nodded my thanks.
