Carmen's POV
My finger turned the dial and aimed it Gray, "Goodbye Gray, oh wait! You prefer Crackle!"
"Carmen! NO!"
The rod fired, Gray fell back and fidgeted until his body became limp. My memories swip swapped.

I fell into Shadowsan's arms. My eyes stopped when I saw the Crackle Rod. Gray flashes through my memory bank.
"Gray!! I crumble to my knees in despair. "What have I done."
Gray's POV
I'm awoken by the sound of Carmen whimpering. I at Carmen who keeps mumbling in her sleep, "What have I done? What have I done!!" I begin to soothe her, and place her sleeping body on my lab and gently stroke her crimson hair, "Shh, it's okay Carmen. I'm here, I'm here."
Carmen's eyes flutter open. She flings her arms around my neck and sobbs, "I am so sorry. I am so sorry! I almost killed you on that night! I would have lost you. I've lost Scarlett I can't even imagine how life would have been without you."
I rub the back of her hair. "Don't worry, my love. We'll find Scarlett."
"E-Every night I have nightmares of Scarlett and when I almost killed you. They started after she was taken. I don't know how much more I can take," Carmen whimpered helplessly.
"I promise you, Carmen, all your nights of suffering will end," I tell her before leaning down to her lips. I hate seeing her like this, "Jason and I are going to decrypt the bracelet to see where it has been all these years. We will find her, I promise."
Carmen brings us into a passionate embrace, our kisses leaving the taste of our tears on each other's lips. Carmen broke the kiss and laid her head on my chest. Her breathing became slow and steady indicating my Crimson Shadow had fallen asleep. I stayed in that position for a while, with only rampaging thoughts keeping me awake. At last my mind was clear of the memories of Scarlett of the 5 years she was with Carmen and I. I kissed the top of Carmen's head.
"I will find Scarlett," I promised.
I am so close to finding her and ending my wife's ongoing pain, I'm not going to stop now.
