Aegon supposed all babies looked like that, big heads and little limbs it wasnt until Kaida was a few moons old that he really looked at his littlest sister and was curious.

"She has little arms and... legs." Aegon realized.

"Yes, she is a baby." Alisha agreed as she got Kaida changed.

"Yeah but... Aemond didnt look like this." Aegon was 8, Helaena 6 and little Aemond was three when Kaida was born.

"She's a bit different." Alisha offered.

"Because she's a girl?" Aegon questioned.

"Well yes that is a reason too." Alisha agreed. "But she is going to stay little forever."

"Little forever?" Aegon countered.

"That is what every parent wants, for their babies to stay little and not grow up." Alisha agreed. "You my handsome boy are already growing up so fast."

"So she's not sick?"

"No, she is growing strong too." Alisha assured. "Thank you for being such a good big brother though and checking on your baby sister." Aegon nodded staring back at Kaida as she slept.

Alisha snuggled Kaida into her arms, Kaida stayed fast asleep, safe and sound. Alisha stroked a finger along her little back as she slept.

"You know I love all my babies," Alisha remarked and Aegon nodded again

"You know I love all my babies," Alisha remarked and Aegon nodded again. "I know that when I have a new baby I have to spend more time with them, because Kaida is so little." Alisha reminded him. "She needs more attention, needs help doing things that my big boy Aegon doesnt need help with anymore."

"I know." Aegon agreed as he sat beside her.

"I love you honey, so much." Alisha declared leaning over to kiss Aegon's head.

"I love you." Aegon repeated. He leaned over kissing Kaida gently and Alisha's heart melted. "I love her too."

"Thats so wonderful to hear." Alisha agreed.

Alisha had one thing from her previous life, her daisy chain necklace, she had switched clothes and shoes, even the hair pin with Alicent the night of Rhaenyra's wedding. The necklace was the only thing she refused to part with. She wore Alicent's jewelry and her name, and her title. But when she looked in the mirror and saw that little daisy she thought of the white and yellow daisy door on her gran's house and wondered if Alicent was okay. Wondered what her life would have been like if she left on the black pearl instead of staying in westeros. She didnt want to know because she couldnt imagine a life without Kaida, Aemond, Helaena and Aegon... without Viserys. She simply could not imagine what life would have waited for her at her grans house.

Kaida whimpered out hungry again and Alisha's hand fell from her necklace as she moved to Kaida.

"Hello lovey." Alisha coed. "How is my littlest dragon today?" She babbled and gurgled responses and Alisha chuckled as Kaida slapped at her chest eager for her next meal of the day. Then she too saw the necklace. Kaida gripped it in her fingers as she gnawed at Alisha's teat.

"Gentle, gentle, gentle my love." Alisha coed trying to pry it from her iron grip. Kaida kept hold of it though. "Kadia, no, no, be gentle with mama." Alisha requested finally prying her little fingers free. Kaida stared back at the charm as Alisha adjusted it away from her tiny but ferocious grip.

"When you are bigger I will tell you the importance of a daisy." Alisha offered as she shifted pulling it the other way out of her tiny but fierce grip. "My gran loved Daisy's... you know I never told anyone your middle name but you are Kaida Margaret Targaryen. I always called my gran, granny Peggy though." Alisha whispered.

"Peggy?" Rhaenyra questioned from the door. "Who do you know called Peggy?" THink, fuck it think, Alisha commanded herself. She wouldnt lose her family, wouldnt lose this getting caught up in memories.

"The star horse." Alisha offered awkwardly, she couldnt meet Rhaenyra's gaze. "Pegasus, peggy the star horse."

"Alright..." Rhaenyra agreed slowly.

"Was there something that you needed Rhaenyra?" Alisha questioned nervously as she fixed her dress keeping her back to Rhaenyra hoping she wouldnt see the anxious flush of her cheeks.

"Just passing by, don't mind me." Rhaenyra assured. Alisha offered her a small smile and waited for the door to click closed again before she let out a breath of relief and sagged in her seat.

"That was close."
