Renai lowered her gaze. Tears flooded down in gallons. How could he do this in front of her? It was slicing her heart. Their momentary moaning and groaning burned her ears like an acid. She squeezed her eyes and willed her mind to turn into a mush, but it hyperventilated when she heard a plop sound. Opening her eyes and glancing at them through her eyelashes, she saw his finger popping out of her mouth. Renai gulped and sighed heavily, waiting for his next purgatory.

Abruptly, He bent and grabbed Thea from her arm only to yank her across Renai's feet. Thea yelped as her head smacked against Renai's knee. Renai's breath hitched. She looked toward Zebian who morphed into a bull. He was fuming with a clenched jaw, his muscles twitching momentarily.

Renai's eyes again fell on Thea who was already looking at her with glossy eyes, those pair of crystals indirectly pleading with her. "Look at her, and look carefully," Zebian seethed, his voice low but deep enough to cause a shiver down their spines.

Renai locked her gaze on Thea. Tears streamed down her cheeks.

"I'm sorry," Renai moved her lips that Thea read and a tear dropped from her eye.

"What do you see in her, rose?" Zebian asked out of the blue. He clasped his hands behind his back as keenly studied their undivided staredown. Renai didn't move a centimetre over his question.

All she could see in her face was an undeniable resemblance. Her lips, nose and eyebrows were exactly like Renai's. She was on the verge of breaking down. She now understood why these women were here. Their crime was bearing a resemblance to her. Because they looked like a girl who was forced to leave the king, they were being punished for it.

"Can you find yourself in her?" He smirked seeing her body quivering.

Renai burst into sobs and looked at him. "Why are yo...why are you punishing them?" Her eyes had red-rimmed and swollen but Zebian still found her alluring, he was going crazy for not touching her already. But he had to wait, breaking her first was crucial.

"Because they deserve my wrath," He replied, cocking his head to one side. Renai hitched a sob and shook her head gingerly.

"Don't do this to them. They are innocent," Her eyes, appealing profoundly. Zebian's smirk widened and hummed in a no before stepping ahead and halting behind Thea's back. Her back stiffened.

"No, my love. They are not innocent because of you. They are equally punishable as you. Because you...you have angered me and they shall bear the consequences, for they reminded me of you," His hand came around Thea's neck before he snaked his arm and locked her throat by pushing her between his arm and his thigh, strangling her.

Thea's eyes started to pop out of her eyesockets. Renai glanced at her, her heart quivered and she began struggling against the rope. "No please, don't hurt her. No!" Renai helplessly shook her head and kept wiggling but to no success.

"Oh my love...my naive rose," He grinned amusingly. "This is nothing..." He chuckled and carelessly shook his head.

"This is really nothing against the punishments I have inflicted on these women," She shot a hateful glance at Zebian with tear-glossed eyes, revulsion was written all over her face.

He had no clue how he did that night. Her memories were eating out his mind. It all started from that day when he killed three women after hearing she had gotten married. He had lost all his sanity after that.

"She should be thankful to you, because of your presence she will bear an easy death," Zebian added to the pressure. Thea's shoulders wiggled in his hold, her wide eyes blankly stoned at Renai, accepting her immediate fate.
