***Interrogating Quinn left the team with an ultimatum. Lead the Clairvoyant straight to the answers he had been looking for all this time, or let Skye die. It was an-brainer. It was a risk they all would take to save the woman they all had come to love in a short amount of time.
"There has to be a way we can find information on the Clairvoyant." May spoke, a look of thought on her face,"Records, traces, somewhere."
"What about Quinn's lawyers?" Ward intervened, sprouting the idea, "We all know he has an assortment to get him out of anything. His lawyers have all the records of past detainments, maybe something on Cybertek."
"How would we get said information?" Coulson asked, already knowing the answer.
"I can go in." Y/N said surely, "I have been benched on the saving Skye mission. So at least then I can make myself useful."
"Are you sure you are up for the mission?" Ward said, concerned, "You're hurt."
"Grant, they're lawyers." Y/N laughed.
"Sleazy ones," Ward argued.
"Who are his lawyers anyways?" Y/N asked, looking at Fitz who was currently researching.
"Uhh looks like a law corporation in New York City." Fitz replied, squinting at the computer, "Landman and Zack."
"Isn't that the law firm that represents RoxxonCorp, and all those other really bad companies?" Coulson winced at the questionability.
"Well then it's not surprising they represent Quinn and Cybertek." Y/N reasoned, "I'll be in and out, get the information, if any."
"The faster we can find the Clairvoyant..." Coulson spoke, "The less it will matter that we are leading him exactly where he wants."
"Just save Skye," looked at her father, pleading, "Please."
"We will." Coulson reassured, "go dark. Hopefully with us tracing the miracle cure, you can go snooping under the radar."
Y/N nodded exiting the room, making her way down the hall to the armory. As she strided, her arm was caught by Ward, who stopped her pace, facing her.
"This is horrible timing." Ward stuttered, "I-I never wanted to do it like this."
Y/N looked at him mildly confused, and nervous, "you aren't breaking up with me are you?"
"What, no!" Ward said nervously, "no, that's the opposite."
Y/N furrowed her brows, a small smile creeping up on her face as she looked into Ward's eyes, "Grant, tell me."
"Okay, here goes nothing." He continued his breath shaking, as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring, "Like I said again, worst timing, ever." He laughed trying to cover up his nervousness, "but after everything, how you almost died and now Skye. All the time lost because of my idiocy... I can't waste anymore time."
"Grant." Y/N tried to speak before being interrupted.
"No Y/N, I know this is crazy but just wait for a second." Ward continued, slowly getting down to one knee and holding the ring out, "I know I hurt you, I know. I don't deserve you, at all. But no matter what... you've shown me how to be a better person. Remember? I said there was something about you after Istanbul. I bought this a couple weeks ago when we were on a mission. I was going to save it for the perfect time, maybe for when all this shit was over. But I can't." Ward sighed, "Y/N I love you so much. You're my best friend. My literal partner in crime or I guess SHIELD. I made the mistake once, and I won't again, because I want this to be forever. Will you marry me?"
