HAHAHA YES.
Through [Remote Control] I controlled Adran.
Kinda obvious, isn't it? Remote control was a very descriptive name of what that skill did.
What wasn't very obvious is the control scheme on this thing.
How the fuck do I control Adran with this skill?
He was moving around, that much was clear but so.... uncontrolled was a very illustrative word at this very moment, even if it was one-hundred percent true.
Let's think for a second.
This isn't a MOBA; imagining myself pressing Q, W, E or R didn't do anything, except cramp my hands a bit.Neither is this a fighting game- well, it somewhat is, from this angle, looking down at the two of them, as an audience member, it kind of looked like one.
In my mind I tried again with the imaginary keyboard presses, but again, nothing happened.
If I had a physical mouse and keyboard, I could work this so much easier- who am I kidding, playing fighting games on a keyboard is one of the most uncomfortable ways to play that genre.
If it wasn't a keyboard then maybe this more like motion controls or something?
First, I tried to fling my arms around like I had a remote in my hand, but that didn't seem to help. Then I tried the same thing, but more like I was the controller myself, but that also didn't seem right.
"Faye," I said to her, she was sitting in a seat right next to me in the arena, "can you help me out?"
"If you request it," she said.
"I do. Can you make it like that controlling Adran's movements through [Remote Control] is easier? Nothing more, nothing less."
"I can."
Not a split second later a system menu popped open. It was Adran's point of view, directly if I were looking through his eyes and in my hands I felt an invisible controller, with it controlling Adran was so much easier than it was with the other ways I had tried, though it was still a bit tricky getting used to the control scheme and getting the movements just right.
Left... then right... then right... then left again...
Hey, this is kinda fun, for me at least. I'm sure Adran was in great pain while I twisted his arms around.
Firstly, let's spew out some equipment using [Pocket Dimension].
Now that I was in the fight, let's put on more of a show.Even if I wasn't technically as skilled as Iadra, because most of my strength came from my stats, I would still be a much better fighter than Adran.
I wouldn't freeze up, that's for damn sure.
Because of Iadra's preferences, I had seen enough of sword combat at the moment. I wanted to switch it up.
So, opening a small tear in the air with [Pocket Dimension] I pulled out a piece of equipment at random.
They were gauntlets, heavy and made from some kind of strange metal. I wasn't sure if they were iron or steel or some other kind of magical metal this world has, but gauntlets they were nonetheless.
I- Well, Adran was going to fight with a brawler style now.
That also meant that I had replace to his current armor, which mostly just boosted general stats while also looking fly as fuck.
The armor had to give Adran strength, but also speed.
In the armory I had assembled over the last few months, collecting every single piece I found in dungeons and bought randomly in stores, there had to be something that fit that description.
Pulling out the armor set I had decided on, I let it fall on the ground. It was already hard enough to grab anything with Adran's body under [Remote Control]
"HEY, YOUR LIFE IS GOING TO BE so OVER IN A FEW MINUTES," Iadra looked up, "PREPARE YOURSELF!" I yelled out.
Now, let's gently put on the gauntlets... one... by... one... gently...
Adran dropped them.
This is gonna take some time to get used to.
Can I change to 3rd person? Don't think I can.
Guess I can't have everything.
