After we got back from bully- I mean negotiating with Vincent, I went out and started wandering around Xyrus as Arthur helped Lilia with awakening.

I don't know why but everytime someone talks with Arthur and compliments him, I just feel something bubbling at the pit of my stomach. Actually, scratch that. I know exactly why.

Everyone treats him as some sort of prodigy and I'm just completely overshadowed by him. Half the time adults talk to him, even though I'm right there, I'm completely ignored!

I leave the house every time Art decides to do his magic because I'm afraid of being unable to hold it in. I can try and hold these emotions back when we go adventuring, but I swear I can only take so much. I mean, I don't even have a bond yet!

Whatever. The training session should be over by now.

I wonder what's for dinner.

Arthur and I spent the next few months refining our cores, and training. In that time, I broke into the dark orange stage. Arthur mostly spent his time refining that beast will of his (lucky) until it was finally time for the Helstea's tenth anniversary event.

The doorbell sounded and as Arthur opened the door, he got smothered by a pair of breasts.

Ha! A quadra-elemental being defeated by a woman with huge breasts.

I walked into my room to get changed.

After changing, I walked downstairs and we got ready to go.

This is the auction house?!

I stared at the massive building. You could fit like 5 houses in there!

"Alright, let's go inside!"

I watched as nobles slowly filed in. Suddenly, Vincent burst in the VIP room, followed by a couple of people.

"Vincent. I wasn't informed that there were going to be people in here with us." The tall, red haired man said.

"I apologize, Your Majesty! I assumed you wouldn't mind having a few other people with you. You remember my wife, Tabitha, right? Well, these are our close family friends," he introduced, waving his arm in our direction.

After regarding us for a moment, his lips curled up into a smile. "If they are your friends, Vincent, then they are mine as well."

"It's a pleasure to meet you. At least we'll have some company besides these guards," the lady giggled.

I raised an eyebrow in surprise at the sharp contrast in the woman's personality to her appearance. She seemed much more welcoming, despite her intimidating looks, than her husband.

"Everyone, as you all may know, I'd like you all to meet the King and Queen of Sapin. Introduce yourselves to King Blaine Glayder and Queen Priscilla Glayder and their children, Curtis and Kathyln."

At this, my mother—who was holding my sister—Tabitha, and even Lilia, dropped down, genuflecting. A second later, Arthur and I dropped down as well.

Giving us a nod, the King gestured for us to stand. "No more of this, now. No need to be stiff, we're just here for the auction, after all."

As I got back up, Sylvie peeked her head out from under Arthur's robe where she was sleeping, surveying curiously the new faces.

"Kuu?" she chirped, tilting her head.

I thought I heard a gasp from one of the guards in the rear, but I wasn't able to tell since their faces were covered.
