Kain pawed at his neck, as he felt the slit in it, and he felt a rough hand grab his shoulder, and suddenly Kain felt much, much younger, as he looked to see the same small and emancipated man that had touched his head. No, touch was wrong. This man had pushed his finger through Kain's head and touched a part of his brain.

The man helped Kain lift up, before saying, "I was wondering when I'd get to see you. I'm Arthur Kyl Kain Fate the First. I know that you're probably confused, but don't worry. I'll explain everything."

The world seemed to fold in on itself as the scenery changed, showing Arthur holding two dice, and a massive figure that was consumed in black watched as Arthur rolled the dice, before handing it to the large man. He rolled and then held his hand out to Arthur, and Arthur grabbed it. Now it was a tall man, who looked a lot like Arthur. Kain wouldn't know his name, but it was James Fate, "Arthur was a bold man, who took a gamble with the man we call The Indominable. He's unrelenting, and all-powerful, and taught Arthur how to use magic. With Arthur's arrogance and love for dragons, Arthur used magic to become one himself, before killing me."

Kain watched as it showed Arthur, crazed, as blue flowing streaks covered his body, a young man went to grab Arthur's arm, as a young boy, no older than ten shook his head, eating an apple, as Arthur started to rip James apart, and Kain felt Kyl step beside him, "That was when I saw power for the first time, boy. True power waits for no one and consumes all, and when I met the Dremwilch family, that was reinforced."

The scene changed to show two boys fighting, as a man interrupted the two, only to strike them, and another man stepped beside Kain, "I am Mathew Fate or Mathew Dremwilch. Either works. When I saw that your grandfather killed my father, I became enraged. When the Dremwilch family, a strong family back when the name Fate conjured images of a powerful clan and not a few dragon hunters, took me in with my uncle, we were mortal enemies.

We both thrived under his teachings, and when your father had children I bought your sister's Elizabeth hand in marriage and took your brother Shuriken to his death in the Mederi Desert. When Elizabeth finally showed up, I explained how I had no intention to marry her, but that I was going to send her head on a silver platter to your father, Kyl.

She fled, so I pursued to kill her. But my failing body grew tired, and I didn't want my name ruined, so I took my own life, around the same two years after you killed your father."

Kain watched as he stabbed Kyl over and over again, a sharp knife penetrating Kyl's flesh, as Kain screamed in rage. Kain looked away, as another person said, "And that brings you to me. A week ago I died side by side with my twin brother, Derek Fate. I went through this, and now you are. We Fate's get the power to store, manipulate, and use energy in any way you can think of. To move faster, to heal, to cast spells, there are unlimited ways to use it. But the truth of the matter is that the Fate family is divide on if it is a curse or a blessing, regardless, when you wake up, help your son, kill him before the curse makes his life hell, like it did yours." Then Kain woke up next to Brathu's dead body, and he quickly ran out of the cavern, a surge of energy, and he burst through the ground, free, as he saw the battle.

As he landed, he pushed a wave of energy through the ground, and the sand fell on itself, filling holes and evening the landscape as he reshaped the envoirment back to where it was.

Kain stood up, his body pale with a thin slit running across his neck, but other than that he looked normal. Shuriken swung his sword at Kain, and Kain didn't even move. The sword buried itself in Kain's shoulder, stuck against the bone, as Kain turned to Shuriken and said, mocking him, "Pathetic." In a single move, Kain grabbed the blade of Shuriken's sword, his fingers healing quicker than they were being damaged, and he pulled Shuriken's sword out of him before angling the sword and pushing Shuriken down towards him and hitting Shuriken square in the jaw, sending Shuriken falling to the ground.
