Kain looked up to his father, who removed his hand from Kain. Kain stood up, his fear vanishing quicker than he could comprehend and he swung his fist.
It connected roughly against Kyl's jaw, ripping the wire out of his flesh, sending the right side of his bottom back into his jaw. Kyl stumbled back and fell on his rear. He stumbled to stand up and when Kain went to swing again, Ryan stood in the middle of the two. The elf spoke with a hiss, "Need I remind the two of you that we are currently in a arena and that one wrong step gets us all killed?"
Kyl stood up, touched the wire, and it returned to holding his jaw. He rubbed the jaw before saying, "Nathan had forgiven me. I just hope you and Elizabeth will do the same before you die like Nathan."
Kain lunged at Kyl, and Ryan stepped in the middle as Kain paced around his eyes never leaving Kyl's. Ryan looked at the crowd as he held his arms up to the two men.
Kyl held his jaw back up and began to return the crudely stitched jaw. The longer he looked at Kyl the more Ryan wanted to vomit. Stab wounds covered his face, from the forehead down to deep into his chest. In some places the copper wire that was used to stitch him back together causing the skin to stretch, in other places it was too taunt and his skin sagged. His lungs, blood vessels, and other organs and bones were easily visible on his chest. His mouth was open and exposed by the stabs in his cheek roughly stitched to try and cover the holes.
He was wearing a pair of brown pants, that looked like they had been given an attempt to be camouflaged. His shirt was loose fitting and sagged in the middle showing the stab wounds. Kyl's eyes were probably the part that made Ryan want to vomit the most. His eyes were held by a wire stitched through the eyes on the upper and lower part of the eye on both sides. His eyes sagged and we're almost kinda stretched vertically, and when he moved his head his eyes leaked as the liquid in them slowly poured out.
Kain finally asked, "Elizabeth. Where is she?"
Kyl clicked his tongue, a weird thing as Ryan watched his tongue move inside his mouth, and the click being audible without him opening his mouth. The skin flapped slightly with the click on his cheeks. Kyl shook his head before answering, "Now, see, I thought you were smarter than that. Elizabeth is fine. And she'll stay fine." He exhaled comically without opening his mouth, his cheeks stretching a bit before the wind escaped through the holes.
"Unless?" Kain asked in a more demanding tone.
"She only stays safe if you come with me. I have a few things to show you. Just you. Secrets of our family."
Kain looked at his father, panic gripping him at the thought of being alone with him. Ryan simply smiled to let Kain know it was alright. Kain breathed deeply before nodding his head.
Kyl approached Kain and with a small touch on the shoulder he and Kain were somewhere else. Kain looked around stunned as Kyl smiled, "The first is that now you're a God. You can do anything and everything, all you have to do is have enough energy.
See, as a God, you are given a energy store to start off at your death. You are almost out of that reservoir."
"How do, how do you know?"
"Your eyes. They get brighter in color the more energy you have. Your eyes are almost completely gray. Regeneration takes a lot of energy. So replenish it."
With a small wave, there was a dog infront of them. Kyl put his hand on the dog, and with a small breath, the dog howled and started to shrink up until Kyl removed his hand.
"Your turn. Touch him and imagine that his energy is yours."
Kain took in a breath and followed along. The dog let out what was almost a hiss before curling up into a ball. A deformed husk to show what was once a dog. Kain removed his hand, and with that, the husk fell apart.
Kain looked at the dead dog as his ashes slowly vanished. Disintegrating.
Kyl grabbed Kain's shoulder, causing Kain to flinch before Kyl said, "It's alright, you did good. Let's return to your friend once I tell you something. Your son, he's gonna be weak. See, I made a mistake, I didn't teach you right, so let me teach you properly about how a Fate is born." Kyl's words lingered at friend, like he was saying something different than what he originally was going to say.

To Ryan it was like nothing ever happened, but now Kain's eyes were brighter, more human in color. Suddenly Elizabeth was next to them, unconscious. Kyl smiled, bowed, and vanished from the small trio left in the arena.
Kain approached Nathan's corpse, spat on it, and shouted out the arena's inhabitants, "Listen to me. I'm gonna leave some dragons in your care. When I return for them, they better have no complaints. If they so much as tell me that the beds were uncomfortable I'll come back and kill every one of you elves and dragons. Here's my promise."
With that, Kain grabbed Dremuri, Nathan's sword, off of his corpse and took the sheath off of his body. He strapped the sword's sheath on his back, and sheathed the sword. Kain held up Vulneri and shouted, "I'll come back for my dragons. Keep them safe." With that, he grabbed Elizabeth, picked her up, and Ryan followed as they went off, back to meet up with Owen at the port.

As they stopped to sleep for the night Ryan asked, "What was that about? Who was that?"
Kain took in a breath and held it before answering, "That was my dad. He was a monster when I was a kid. But he kept it to me, and I didn't mind. I had felt like I had earned it, if I hadn't, why would he do it so often?
Well, I had come home one day, drunk, and he had struck 'Liz. I grabbed a knife and stabbed him for almost two hours straight. That was why I had been arrested, that one time I had come by your place, and said we had to leave. Remember that?"
"Yeah, we went over to the Laelan Dynasty for a few months, there was that mage we met. Ezra I think her name was."
Kain nodded, "Yeah. That's the time." He took in a breath, looked away from Ryan and said, "Speaking of that trip, there's something else I have to tell you. It was then, then was when I, I, I realized that I, I loved you."
Silence greeted the camp site as Kain's words hung in the air. With an arm put around Kain's shoulders by Ryan, Ryan said, "I love you too."
