I've spent the first few hours of my day lying in my bed, wrapped in blankets. I've been wearing my binder for the past few days and I have to take a break today, even though I don't want to. Someone knocks on the door and I poke my head out from under the covers.

"Yeah?" I call out.

"Darling, are you awake?" Diluc asks.

"Mhm. What's up?"

"Are you planning on leaving our bed anytime soon?"

"No..."

"Can I come in, then?"

"Sure." The door opens and he walks in, looking at me with a soft smile.

"Hi, Angel."

"Hi..."

"I know you're not feeling the best right now, but I have the day off. We can do whatever you want," he says.

"Can we go kill some Hilichurls?" I ask excitedly. He sighs.

"No, Love, I don't want you to get hurt." Thunder rumbles outside. I smile.

"Can we play in the rain?"

"Sure, but not for too long. I don't want you getting sick." I push the blankets off of me and get out of bed. "If we're going outside, you need to wear a jacket. It's kind of cold." I nod, opening the wardrobe. I pick out a soft baggy shirt and a pair of loose jeans, tossing them onto the bed.

"I'm going to get changed." He nods, turning to leave.

"I'll see you in a few minutes, Bubs," he says, closing the door behind him. I strip off my pajamas and change into the clothes I picked out, avoiding my reflection in the mirror. When I'm dressed, I take one of my boyfriend's jackets out of the wardrobe and put it on, hugging the fabric to my chest.

When I walk out into the main room, I see Diluc waiting for me on the couch. He stands up when he sees me, smiling.

"You look cute," he says. "Is that my jacket?" I blush and nod.

"It's comfy. And it smells like you..." I admit shyly. He chuckles. He takes my hand and gently leads me towards the door.

"Come now, we don't know how long this rain will last." We step outside and I'm immediately soothed by the sound of the rain. What was I upset about again? I take a step out from under the overhang and tilt my head up, letting the water hit my skin. It feels wonderful.

"It's so nice out here," I say, taking a deep breath.

"It's raining harder than I thought, we might not be able to stay out here for long," he says. We hear a bird call above us and he stands by my side, holding his arm up and out. His bird lands on his glove, their talons wrapping around his fabric-covered arm. He smiles and reaches up to stroke the side of her face. They look at me, chirp happily, and fly away. He turns to me. "They wanted to say hello," he says softly. I smile.

We play hide and seek amongst the grapevines, running around and chasing each other as the rain pours down. Before we know it, the sun is high in the sky and the downpour has slowed to a drizzle. I stop running and he catches up to me, wrapping me in a hug and resting his head on my shoulder.

"I love you," he murmurs. I smile and lean my head to rest on his.

"I love you too."

We go back inside and the maids wrap us in warm towels.

"You're soaked, Darling," he says. I look down at my clothes, which are dripping with excess water. I look back at him. His hair is out of its usual ponytail and hangs past his shoulders, soaking his shirt.

"You are too, Love. We should change," I say. He nods.

"I'll get a change of clothes for you and me." I follow him into our shared bedroom, the towel wrapped around my shoulders. He opens the wardrobe and takes out two of his shirts and two pairs of sweatpants. He hands one shirt and one pair of pants to me. "Put these on, they're warm." He leaves the room, giving me privacy. I peel off my wet clothes and slip on the dry ones, loving the warmth against my skin.

When I reach the main room, I see Diluc lying on the couch, waiting for me. He smiles, opening his arms. I lay on top of him and he wraps his arms around me, humming contentedly.

"I love you, my Darling~❤️"

"I love you too, Luc~❤️"
