The door shuts and I turn to see Diluc standing in the doorway, soaking wet.
"Hello, Darling," he says tiredly.
"Hey, Luc," I say, getting off the couch. "Stay there, I'll get you a towel." I go to the bathroom and grab a towel before returning to his side. I wrap him in the towel and lead him back to the bathroom.
"You don't have to do this," he starts. I put my finger to his lips and kiss his forehead.
"I want to." He blushes and averts his gaze. I dry him off and drape the towel over his shoulders. "Let me get you a change of clothes." I go to our bedroom and take out a soft shirt and a pair of pajama pants and bring them back to him. I turn away and he changes into them. I feel his arms wrap around my waist as he rests his head on my shoulder.
"Thank you," he murmurs. I smile.
"Anytime, Love. Let's go eat dinner, hm?"
After dinner, I change into one of his shirts and we lay in bed. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me into his chest, tucking my head under his chin. I circle my arms around his waist and tangle my legs with his. We lay in silence for a while until I hear soft snores coming from my boyfriend. I smile, snuggling into his chest, before falling asleep myself.
I feel someone toss and turn beside me and I slowly open my eyes, looking at the man next to me. His breathing is uneven and he's shaking. He's having a nightmare.
"N-(Name)...no...please..." he gasps.
"Luc, hey, Baby, wake up," I whisper, shaking his shoulder. His eyes open and he lets out a shaky breath.
"N-(Name)..."
"It's okay, Love, it was just a dream." He wraps his arms around me tightly and buries his face in my shoulder. I rub his back and his shoulders begin to shake. I feel tears wetting my shirt and my heart breaks. "What happened, Luc?"
"T-The Abyss Order...they...they got you. I-I didn't know what to do, I couldn't protect you," he sobs.
"Oh, Baby..." I murmur, pulling back. I cup his cheeks and wipe the tears away with my thumbs. "Look at me. I'm right here. I'm okay, I'm not going anywhere." I assure him. I see the panic and fear in his watery red eyes and I rest my forehead against his. "I'm safe, Luc."
"D-Don't leave me...please..." he whispers. I kiss him softly.
"Don't fret, Angel, I'm not going anywhere.
"I-I love you. So much.
"I love you too, Diluc~❤️"
