Prologue

"How can the director and the writer think of such an ending?"

Min Ha couldn't believe what she just watched. How could a drama that showed a wholesome friendship just end up with their classmate killing all of them? She thought that she rather watch Spongebob Squarepants than that drama. Such a waste of time. But then again, she knew that she couldn't do anything about it – it's already been scripted. She quickly turned the TV off and headed toward her bedroom to study for her quiz tomorrow. She took her notes and textbooks out of her bag and began to read. Soon after, she fell asleep with drool on her notes.

"Hey, do you watch that new drama?" asked Ye Rim, one of Min Ha's close friends. "Yep, and it's dumb." Ye Rim laughed at Min Ha's comment. She already knew that Min Ha would think like that. "So, who's your favorite character in that drama?" Ye Rim asked. Min Ha shook her head and said, "I don't have a favorite character because all of them are dumb, especially that Ae Rol character." Ye Rim once again laughed at her friend's comment. "It's Ae Sol, not Ae Rol and she's not dumb, just scared." Min Ha makes a face. "Still, she needs to think before acting on her own." Ye Rim sighed at her friend. "What will you do if you awake in their universe? I'm pretty sure you will be just like Ae Sol." Min Ha thought for a while then said, "I just let that weird purple thing kill me."

Min Ha walked back to her home alone that day as Ye Rim needed to attend her tuition night class. Without her notice, a truck sped up when she was crossing the road. Just in a few seconds, everything went fast and all she remembered was her whole body hurt before she completely blacked out.
