They arrived at Maesong-Si, one of the shelters. There were a few left cars and buses in front of the building with a few corpses near them. They checked the detectors but nothing. No beep or anything. They went inside the building and thoroughly inspected that building, to see if there were any spheres. Again, there was no beeping sound coming from the detector. They walked down to the basement, to look for other survivors but all they found there were just corpses everywhere. Min Ha covered her nose as the smell was too rancid down there. She walked a little further and saw tents covered with blood. She couldn't hold back her tears any longer when she saw a few of the kid's toys laying around there with red splotches on them. They were too late, aren't they?

"I don't think there are any survivors." Young Shin said out loud. Min Ha then heard Soon Yi asking Hee Rak about their parent's well-being but there was no answer from Hee Rak.

Min Ha was with the others, wrapping the dead bodies they found there. There were many more than she had expected. She looked at all of the corpses. They shouldn't be dead. They should be happy right now living their life. Not ending up like this, especially for the kids. They were just kids, they still had so many things they need to know, to study. Why did this universe so cruel?

"Do you see her eyes earlier?" All of the attention was now focused on Tae Man. "They were unfocused. Completely blank. It is just dreadful." He said to others. They were. Min Ha knew the look in that eyes. The look of guilt and blame. She felt guilt for not saving anyone but also she blamed the adults for all these deads, especially her friend's death.

"If I had left alone, would I become like that?" Bo Ra asked no one but herself. Min Ha suddenly thought about that. Would she possibly become like that too if she was in that situation? "Will we be able to survive?" Everyone sighed and looked down at the floor, thinking if they would be able to survive just to see tomorrow.

——————————————————————————

It was already nighttime and Min Ha was standing outside the building, taking a break from everything. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath then exhaled when she felt suffocated because of the lacked of air (Yes, sometimes she was an idiot. You didn't need to laugh at her). "Are you okay?" Min Ha jumped and almost tripped when she heard that voice. Jang Soo then helped her and apologized, didn't expect that she would be so shocked. "Yeah, I'm fine. Why?" Min Ha put her hand on her heart, still calming herself down. "It's just, you look depressed after you come back from the basement."

Min Ha sighed. Why did this guy was too nice? She was afraid that someday people would take his kindness for granted. "I'm fine. It's just after seeing that mess, I mean the blood, the dead bodies, it just kind of make me sad how their lives just end just like that. They don't have any weapons on them to fight for their lives. And I feel like we were too late to save them." Jang Soo stared at Min Ha with an unreadable look on his face. Min Ha turned to Jang Soo when there was no reply coming from him. Jang Soo walked toward her slowly before engulfing her in a hug. She was too shocked to say anything. "I don't know what can comfort you but I hope this will do."

After hearing that, she could feel her heart beating faster again, and it was all because of him. She felt touched by what Jang Soo had done to her and so she hugged him back. They stayed like that for a few minutes before Min Ha pulled back from that hug and said a small thanks to him. But nothing made her shocked more than what Jang Soo said to her after that. "Go out with me when all of this is resolved."

Min Ha was speechless. What had happened just now? Her brain seems to just stop functioning at that time. She thought that she had blinked so much that her eyes started to hurt. "What?" That's all the things that she could ask as her brain completely shut itself off. "Go out with me, Cho Min Ha." There were so many questions inside her brain right now. Jang soo? Like her? "Why? I thought you liked So Yeon. Why me?" Jang Soo raised his brows. "What do you mean why? And why do you think I like So Yeon?" Min Ha then replied, "Girl's instincts." Jang Soo chuckled after hearing her answer. "Well, your instinct is totally wrong. There were no other girls. It has been you, Cho Min Ha, since day 1." Min Ha couldn't close her mouth. She couldn't process anything she just heard. It was her since day 1? Jang Soo had liked her that long?

Min Ha stared at Jang Soo's face, trying to see if he was joking around but all she saw was a sincere feeling from his eyes. As far as she knew, eyes could never lie. She felt something in her stomach. Her heart beating even faster (if it could). Should she accept his confession? She needed to think rationally here. She was in the fucking universe with the fucking spheres attacking anyone so should she have had some little romance while they were at war? Wait. Did Jang Soo really like her? Or he liked the old Cho Min Ha in this universe before she took over this body? Before she could say anything, Yeon Joo called them over for dinner. Min Ha turned to Jang Soo and gave him a smile before walking toward Yeon Joo.

"What happens?" Yeon Joo asked her and she just replied, "Nothing." She needed to confirm whether his feeling was for her or the other Cho Min Ha. She didn't want to be entangled with that kind of love, where she liked him but all along his feeling was never for her.

During dinner, she focused her attention on the new girl as she knew that girl would do something dumb after this. She ignored her feeling for a few seconds as she needed to focus on stopping the girl. She also ignored the stolen glances from a certain boy. She ate her dinner anxiously. She watched the girl stand up and walked away from there as Yoo Jung followed her. She quickly finished her food before following them but somehow both of those girls were too fast, and she lost track of them.

She ran and search for the library. It took her exactly 30 minutes to finally find the said place. She watched as Yoo Jung and Lieutenant Lee tried to calm that girl down. She walked around the shelves and now she was standing a few meters beside that girl. The girl was aiming the gun (that randomly once again, randomly place there in the library) at Lieutenant Lee. She prepared herself to run at the girl. One, two, and fucking three. She ran toward the girl and shoved her but she could hear a gunshot echoing through the room. Damn it! Both of the girls groaned as they felt pain throughout their bodies. Min Ha quickly sat up and grabbed the gun. She shoved it away as far as possible from them and grabbed both of the girl's hands tightly. She then turned toward Yoo Jung and Lieutenant Lee and there was he, our lovely Kim Woo Bin with blood pouring out from his shoulders.

Both Lieutenant Lee and Yoo Jung shouted for someone to get the blood-stopper when everyone arrived. They were all shocked at the scene in front of them. "No, it's not my fault. The adults are to blame. It's not my fault." Min Ha could hear the girl repeating the same words over and over again. She let go of that girl's hands and watched her cry. She looked at everyone who stared at the girl in sympathy. She accidentally met Jang Soo's eyes and she could tell he was worried about her. She just sighed, she didn't want to think. All she needed right then was some sleep.

Letter to myself,

Dear me,
Jang Soo just fucking confess to me and I don't have any idea what to do. You see, he might confuse his feeling with the old Cho Min Ha and not me. It's sad to think like that but that's the truth. I'm not from this universe and I didn't even know if I'm still alive back in my universe. What if I'm still alive and one day, I'm going back to my old universe? I need to leave him behind if we ever date. I don't need some sad romantic in my life, you know. Just don't do anything stupid, Min Ha. Remember, you do this to protect his and your heart.

Sincerely,
Cho Min Ha

P.S. And by the way, you failed to protect our beloved Woo Bin so from now on you'll be his slave (other meaning: his hands).
