Chapter 11

It was silent. No one dared to say anything. Maybe they were still horrified by the things that just happened today. Min Ha turned to look at In Hye who tightly held her hand. She was sweating so much. The blood from her wound couldn't stop flowing out from her body. She might die from blood loss. "Fuck, where is the other car? Don't tell me we are the only ones who escaped." Min Ha knew that the other car would safely arrive at the camp. The only problem was their car.

She could hear Soon Yi's ugly sobbing echoing through the car. "And there, she starts again." Min Ha closed her eyes in an attempt to drown out any sounds. "Any minutes now." Min Ha mumbled to herself and right after she said those words, she felt herself fly out of her seat. Her body crashed into something hard which made the wound became worse than before. She heard screaming all around her as some of her friends crawled out of the car. She couldn't move her body as her body completely shut itself off. "Ah fuck, just kill me already, will you?" Min Ha gritted her teeth while still laying in the car. She watched a sphere crawling above her. She wanted to flip the purple shit off but she couldn't find the energy to do so.

The others shot the sphere. It was chaotic as all of them tried to get rid of that purple alien. Luckily, they didn't accidentally shoot their friend who was almost dead on the ground. Jang Soo who caught a glimpse of Min Ha quickly ran toward her and helped her out of that car. In Hye and Yeon Joo checked up on Min Ha as they realized that her wound had become worse. Yeon Joo pressed the wound which earned a groan from Min Ha.

Then, they heard a whine coming from Soon Yi as she showed everyone her small scratch but everyone ignored her. "I suppose I'm going to sleep for a while, In Hye." She replied as she turned to face In Hye. Everyone there called her name, trying to make her stay awake but she was too exhausted to respond as she dozed off.

She woke up when she felt someone had carried her. It was hard to open her eyes but she tried as hard as she could. The first thing she saw was Jang Soo's face. He had carried her on his back. She noticed that it was already nighttime and she saw Chi Yeol, In Hye, Yeon Joo, and Hee Rak tip-toeing. Ah, it's that scene where they all tried to run away from that one fucking sphere. Wait, how long had she fallen asleep?

Then, the sound of metal clanged and that's the cue for everyone to run. Jang Soo arrived safely in the small garage with Min Ha on his back. Min Ha who almost fell back to sleep become conscious when Jang Soo gently put her at the back of the truck. In Hye and Yeon Joo were beside her all the time. She heard a commotion behind her and saw Hee Rak and So Yoon arguing. If she was not wounded, she would have smacked those two idiots in the head, especially Hee Rak.

Now, they needed to take back the keys behind the shelf. Tae Man was too frustrated that he ended up suggesting to just run away. "We can't. You'll get hurt running with Min Ha on your back." Yeon Joo tried to rationalize with the others. They started to argue again when they were out of ideas to get away from there. Young Shin suddenly spoke out, "If that gets inside, we're all dead. The only way we can survive now is to leave Min Ha behind." Everyone disagreed with Young Shin's idea while Min Ha was seen nodding her head, totally agreeing with him. She didn't want to burden the others and besides, her wound was more severe than it seems. Even So Yeon's wound didn't look like hers in that drama. So, if they wanted to leave her so be it.

"Then, one of us should cause a distraction and the rest of us will escape in the van. That's the only way." Min Ha sighed. It's going to get messy.

Min Ha watched from afar as the others took the sticks from Jang Soo. See? Again with the randomness. They had time to search for sticks and played this game but didn't have time to try taking the keys back. She didn't want to be judgemental here but was the director drunk while filming this drama? After a few minutes, she saw Jang Soo walk away from the group with a pail and a large stick in his hands. "Jang Soo." He turned to Min Ha who looks even paler than before. "We will come back to get you. Don't worry. Please be careful." Jang Soo smiled before patting her on the head. She watched him walk to the door of the garage. She looked at Hee Rak, it was clear that he felt guilt toward Jang Soo. His face said it all.

After everyone settled at the back of the truck, So Yoon drove away from there, leaving Jang Soo alone at that place. Min Ha watched Hee Rak slowly climb out from the truck and went back to that construction site to save Jang Soo. She smiled as she knew, they would be safe.

She didn't remember how but now she was in the back of the military truck with everyone. She looked around her. She found Young Hoon right beside Chi Yeol and Woo Taek who played around with Soo Chul. She then turned toward In Hye who had sat beside her, dozing off because of exhaustion. She smiled to herself. She did it. She saved her friends.

"Min Ha, are you okay?" Min Ha stared at Deok Joong who looks at her, concerned. She raised her hands slowly and gave him a thumbs up. He did the same thing to Min Ha which cause her to laugh. She ended up hurting herself which earned her a lecture from Yeon Joo as she asked her to stay still. She nodded her head and look at her wound. She was slightly curious about it. She poked her wound which made her scream because doing that was too painful. Everyone started to panic but calmed down after Min Ha told them she was just thrilled with the idea of bed at the camp. She was such a dumbass.

Dear me,
I did it! I saved all three of them! I knew you can do it, Cho Min Ha. Let's keep it that way and try our hardest to stay alive.
