If I Let You Go

Chapter 10 - He's my owner

"Have you seen anything as magnificent as that?" Rain excitedly pointed at the clear blue waters and bright cloudless sky that greeted them when their group reached the beach front area of the resort they've checked in to.

River suggested a weekend away because it's a long weekend before term starts. And since the onset of the rainy season is upon them, River thought that a last hurray for summer is in order. So, here they are in Boracay for what might be the last swimming trip they will have for the year.

Rain honestly never expected Taylor to join them when he mentioned the trip.

A few days back...

"So, River planned a trip for this month's long weekend. It's in Boracay..." Rain hesitantly stated.

He texted Taylor earlier that he's in Makati area with some friends and asked if Taylor's in their Makati branch. And if yes, may he go see him? Taylor texted ok and so he joined him in this branch's back office.

Taylor looked at him as if considering his next words. "So, is that you asking permission or?..."

Rain sighed, "Well, I would love it if you could join us but I know you have a lot work, so..."Rain trailed off

"All right then." Taylor smilingly replied

"All right as in you're joining us, right?" Rain confirming Taylor's answer.

Taylor nodded. Rain jumped on the sitting Taylor and eventually sat on Taylor's lap sideways but with his right leg touching the floor and positioned in between Taylor's open legs while his left leg lying on top of Taylor's left leg and his bum on top of Taylor's right upper leg. It was an uncomfortable position, but Taylor doesn't mind. Rain then shifted to a more comfortable position and whipped out his phone to ask River to book Taylor a ticket.

Looking at his hot boyfriend, Rain thought that this trip's by far the most exciting because Taylor's with him.

"You're going outside in that?" Taylor gestured at Rain's top which is a tank top with big arm holes showing Rain's shoulders to waistline. The back is printed with Rain's second name, Marcus

They reached the resort a little after 3pm so they plan to just walk around and see what the island has to offer in terms of activities and food.

"Yup!" Rain brightly said. "I can just lose the shirt if we decide to go into the water later."

Taylor never though he can be the kind of person who will have an opinion on what his partner would like to wear. "Ahm...don't you have a rash guard or something?"

Rain smiled widely and walked closer to Taylor. He then placed both arms atop Taylor's shoulders while whispering, "Is my man having possessive thoughts on me?"

"Tsk! Maybe." Taylor said

Rain laughed. "Fine! I'll change into a short-sleeved rash guard. But how 'bout you wear my tank top? It's big enough to fit you."

Taylor's brow furrowed at Rain's suggestion

Rain smiled naughtily and said, "Well I think you'd look hot in this plus it has my name on it, marking you. And I don't mind you displaying your charms because I know they're mine."

Taylor shook his head smiling at Rain's naughtiness, but he did wear the shirt before they left the room.

Rain saw a long thin scar on Taylor's left shoulder. Rain touched it and asked, "What's this? Battle scar from saving the damsel in distress?" Rain teasingly asked.

Taylor did not say anything and just smiled briefly. He pulled Taylor out the door to meet with the others.

As they walk around the white beach path, they saw a building that has an outdoor seating. The area has several shops including a pizza place, an outdoor bar and a convenience store surrounding an outdoor seating area with wpc flooring.

River and Fallon decided to check out the convenience store for snacks and some items they might need during this trip.

"I'll go see if they have a 5 liter distilled water in there. It may be too cautious of me, but I think the best way to ruin a trip is to have an lbm." Rain thoughtfully said.

Taylor moved to accompany Rain, "Let's go."

"No, just sit here. I'll bring it to you to carry back." Rain declined to which Taylor nodded.

Taylor sat for few minutes but eventually decided to look at the menu list on the pizza place in case Rain wanted to have some later. He was asking the staff of the pizza place about their bestseller flavor when someone tapped his shoulder. He turned around and faced a couple of women who's probably in their early 20s.

"Hi Marcus! We saw you earlier and thought we'd introduce ourselves. I'm Kate and this is Lily. We're staying at the same resort." The one who tapped him said. Taylor just nodded once.

"So, are you planning to go out tonight? We can join you if you'd like." The one called Kate offered.

"Thank you for the offer but I'm not available. And my name's not Marcus, it's his name." Taylor nodded at the approaching Rain and moved slightly forward to get the big gallon of distilled water from Rain's hand.

Rain brightly smiled at the girls and held out his hand. "Hi, I'm Rain Marcus."

And while Kate hesitatingly shook hands with Rain, Lily enthusiastically held it longer than necessary.

"Rain, we were telling your friend here that we could join you guys if you're going out tonight." Lily flirtingly told Rain.

Taylor who has looked only at Rain since he saw Rain exits the convenience store said, "Told them we're not available." He then hooked an arm on Rain's waist and addressed the girls without looking at them, "And he's not my friend. He's my owner." He then maneuvered Rain into turning their backs to join their group.

River heard the exchange and couldn't help bursting out a loud snort. Fallon slapped her arm softly, Ash looked at her with a wtf expression while Archer exclaimed, "Hon!"

Rain turned his head slightly back to the girls and saw a stunned look on their faces.
