River's panicking, "Rain! Rain! Oh my God, oh my God!"
Archer who was driving had to stop by the roadside to calm River. "Hon, what's wrong?"
"Please drive to the condo. Rain's in trouble! Please Hon, let's go!" River pleaded, almost crying now.
Archer drove as fast as he can towards the twin's condo. The car hasn't completely stopped when River opened the door and ran to the elevator. She kept pressing on the elevator button as if that will make it faster.
As soon as they reached the condo floor, River ran to the door and punched in the code for the lock then ran inside. He saw Rain half sitting, half lying on the sofa. When River saw the state of Rain, she started to panic again.
River helped Rain to sit up and said, "I'm here. I'm here." Holding both of Rain's cheek in her hands while almost crying. Rain remained semi-unconscious.
"River hon, calm down a bit, we need to get him to the ER. Let's go" Archer said when he saw Rain's condition.
They half carried Rain to the car and drove to the nearest hospital.
At the ER, Rain's been on the bed for 40 mins when their parents arrived.
The twins' mother's eyes were red from crying. She immediately walked to the head of the bed and caressed Rain's cheek then rubbed Rain's arms.
"What did the doctor say?" Their father asked.
"They suspect it's dengue. He has rashes and headaches. He was given a fever reducer. They've also taken blood sample for dengue test, cbc and platelet count. We're waiting for results." Archer answered him because River was too emotional and has joined their mother observing Rain.
Their father nodded and tapped Archer's shoulders as thank you.
A few minutes later, it was confirmed that Rain's positive for dengue. His platelet is disturbingly low. He was admitted and transferred to a private room after an hour.
During the rounds that night, the doctor said that they need to give Rain platelet concentrate since his last platelet count test indicated that it is declining faster. Family was asked to procure AB positive platelet concentrate because the hospital's blood bank is out of Rain's blood type.
"Why is Taylor not answering his phone?!" River yelled while Archer's driving towards a big Makati hospital to procure the platelet concentrate. Archer called ahead and they were lucky that AB positive is available.
"Maybe he's busy?" Archer suggested trying to cool down River who's having a hard time understanding why Taylor does not seem to be too concerned about Rain right now.
"Even if they are having problems, is it too much to ask that he at least text Rain? Rain told me he texted Taylor before he called me." River angrily said.
Archer kept quiet. In fact, he may know something about why Taylor's distancing himself from Rain. Archer and Taylor went drinking one night. Who would have thought that Taylor's a light weight? After a few shots, Taylor divulged information about him, his family and his mother's demand that he ended it with Rain. He confronted Taylor about it the next day, but he still eventually gave Taylor his word that he will not tell River anything. Plus, Taylor and Rain need to settle their issue on their own.

The next afternoon, Taylor visited Rain. It was River who opened the door for him, and Taylor could tell from the expression on River's face that she would rather shut the door on his face than let him enter but probably do not want to upset Rain.
Taylor saw Rain's pale face and his resolve almost cracked. Rain's propped up with the upper half of bed raised up. Taylor walked nearer and sat on the chair next to the bed.
"I'm going to get coffee. You two talk." River who was still standing at the door, excused herself.
As soon as River left, Taylor asked, "How are you? Did not see your message until late last night. I left my phone at home. Did not get a chance to retrieve it because I had a dinner meeting."
Rain nodded at this and did not say anything. Rain noticed Taylor placed a paper bag on his bed side table. Taylor saw that Rain's looking at the bag, so he said, "I brought you kiwis, both green and yellow. I know you like them, so I brought a lot."
Rain nodded once more. He feels like Taylor's preparing to say something so he's waiting for that. Rain's dreading it to be honest but he still wanted to hear it.
At last Taylor sat at the chair beside Rain's bed and held Rain's hand then said, "Rain, maybe we should take a break. Obviously, we are having issues and I think a break will provide us some breathing space to think about our issues. The company also have a lot of projects right now and Amante needed me to oversee some of them. So, I cannot really devote my time and attention to you right now..." Taylor's voice faded. He cannot add more bullshit to that. Even he's having a hard time believing what he said.
Rain remained silent for a few moments and freed his hand from Taylor's grasp.
Rain then smiled sarcastically before saying, "You are so perfect and excellent that even when destroying other's happiness, you also do your absolute best."
"You want a break? Fine! Please leave now. I'm tired." Rain turned his head away from Taylor.
Taylor stayed for a couple more minutes just looking at Rain's face. He then quietly left.
Rain closed his eyes when he heard the door click closed. A sudden sob burst out and tears fell from Rain's closed eyes.
After a few minutes, River returned and found Rain eating peeled and sliced kiwis from a container. On the table beside the bed, a bigger tub contains probably a dozen more unpeeled kiwis. The odd thing though is that Rain's silently crying while eating the kiwis.
