Kipp was shivering. Now that the suns had set, it was much cooler outside...and foggier. "When will we be able to go in?" Kipp asked, looking at Russell, who stood unphased by the cold. The way his hair danced in the wind made him look so cool. He was unshakable.

"Soon, Kipp," Russell answered, but in truth, he wasn't sure when or even if they would be allowed to enter the compound. Fifteen minutes earlier, Cam came and collected Tommy, and then he vanished, leaving him standing outside with Kipp. Russell was beginning to think he should've just followed them in. But then, finally, a sign—the large doors that secured the compound from the rest of the world made a clunking sound, and then they began to draw open with a motorized hum. Russell could barely see anyone or anything past the doors because of the fog. It made it look like they were opening for no reason.

Soon enough, Cam appeared. He made his way over to Russell and Kipp. "Hello. I'm back." Cam stated as he arrived at their position.

Russell uncrossed his arms, "Obviously, Cameron. What's going on?"

"Tommy is meeting with his brother."

"Ah, the person that told you to pretend to be a tribe doctor so you can run all those tests on me?" Russell responded relatively calmly, just trying to probe for information.

Cam hesitated. "It was nothing personal. Tommy's brother prefers to learn about potential threats before they occur." Cam stated.

Russell shifted uncomfortably. "I feel like I should be angrier...but I'm not."

"It's because of your merge with Tommy. You've swapped personalities temporarily. It usually happens with those who are new to merging." Cam informed Russell.

"How do you know that?" Kipp asked.

"I'm a medic; basic merging theory is something that medics are supposed to know."

"So. If you were pretending to be Menvin. And spying on my village. Why didn't you stop my brother from locking me in a cell, hmm?" Russell asked.

"Again, I'm aware of the 'punishment' you received in the village, and I want you to know I protested. I have no intention of putting you in a 'quiet room.' I know that won't make things right, but know I mean no harm. And you don't have to call me Cameron...Cam is fine." Cam informed.

Russell narrowed his eyes at Cam, "No—Cameron. You do mean harm. You're just so used to causing it you've convinced yourself that you're doing the right thing. And I don't do nicknames." Russell glared as he rubbed his wrists and looked around the compound. It seemed it wouldn't be too long before his 'normal' personality woke up from its hibernation. He decided to change the subject, "This is amazing; the detail of the wall trim is quite brilliant. Even though I can barely see it because of all this damn fog."

Cam tilted his head; he was impressed by Russell's sudden appreciation for wall trim. Russell didn't seem to have an exceptionally high aptitude for math or architecture.

"I might've been a member of some 'primitive' tribe. But I'm still an Omeocoon. I pay attention to detail."

Cam accepted the explanation...it was getting quite foggy out here. Higher elevation, perhaps?

"What does Kieran look like?" Kipp approached Cam. He wasn't cold anymore. The raking of questions seemed to warm him up exponentially.

"He looks like Tommy. But he has sharp teeth, red eyes, and yellow skin. He's very mean." Cam shuttered as the image of Kieran flashed in his mind. "Brothers like Tommy and Kieran are twins."

"Like clones?" Kipp assumed.

"No. It's a common mistake to assume that type of reproduction is cloning. Omeocoons do not clone...however...we do share genetic similarities with our siblings—as all species do. But you'll soon see that they are two very different individuals...Kieran is on a path of darkness, and Tommy has chosen the hero's way." His hatred for Tommy's brother ran deep.
