CHAPTER 6: What the fuck do you think you're doing?

Nagi - 17 Years Old

I watched her scurry towards the library like her ass was on fire and I couldn't help but smile. A throat cleared and I looked towards Bachira, who stood there with a goofy smile.

"What?" I asked.

"I always knew you had a thing for her" he continued to smile. "Why not just tell her?" his head tilted.

"Because she doesn't see me like that" I sighed.

"Are you blind or just dumb?"

"Neither? I can see just fine and my grades are good." What the fuck was he getting at?

Bachira sighed and shook his head, "For someone who's so good at everything, you sure are dense when it comes to y/n".

I must have been wearing a confused expression because he continued on before I could question him.

He pointed to the spot next to me and said "That moment? That was her showing you that she feels the same way. At least from where I was standing"

"Yeah, thanks for ruining the moment, asshole" I grumbled.

He held up his hands, "Hey, I just wanted to make sure your first kiss together wasn't in a hallway surrounded by 50 people" he shrugged.

I didn't realize the crowd we pulled in so I started walking towards the field to start practice. I didn't want the captain position but when all but one player voted for you, it's hard to say no. I sighed, "such a pain".

Bachira and I made it to the field to see the guys stretching and warming up, tomorrow we had our championship game and we needed to be ready. Thirty minutes later I called for a small break and made my way towards my phone to check if y/n texted. All my thoughts blanked and I stilled while reading a notification about a post on the schools instagram. I pulled up the app and froze.

The photo was of y/n and Rin sitting at a table, holding hands and smiling at each other. My eyes widened and my mouth opened.

"What the actual fuck!"

"What happened?" Reo asked.

"Shit. Did I say that out loud??" I thought.

Before I could say anything Isagi started choking on his water, phone in hand. When he calmed down, I saw his shoulders drop and his head tilted down. Everyone else was curious and started checking their phones, simultaneously all of their heads snapped towards me. I didn't notice I was clenching my phone so hard until Reo grabbed my hand, I looked at him my face portraying all of my emotions I couldn't put into words.

"Don't freak out. Talk to her about it, don't assume Nagi.. Don't do something stupid" he said cautiously.

I nodded and yelled for everyone to get back on the field. The whole time I couldn't stop my mind from racing. She's never had a boyfriend but out of the blue she was with Rin? I sneered when his name popped up in my head. I'll kill him. I tried to stay calm but the more I thought about it, the more mad I became. I knew I needed to talk to her but I couldn't stop the anger. I sighed and told everyone that we were done for the day, I needed a break.
