Chapter 13. Starship game caterers (part 1)

It isn't that unusual for groups under the same entertainment to meet each other from time to time but it is a bit more unusual for groups under the same entertainment to go on the same show. This was the case today. The unnies and I were going to join our sunbaenims for special filming. Due to this special filming, I was currently standing in front of my open closet, trying to find out what I should be wearing for today. I had to look good for the sunbaenims or else they would think about me weirdly.

Wonyoung: What are you doing, baby bear?

I looked to my left to see Wonyoung unnie entering my room. I sighed as I looked back to my closet.

Jahoon: I'm trying to decide what to wear for today. I really want to impress our sunbaenims without them thinking that I'm weird.

Wonyoung: To be honest baby bear, you don't have to worry that much about it. Because we all know the one with the best fashion sense in this group is me.

Wonyoung unnie said proudly as she smiled. I looked at her with a "serious?" look on my face before I huffed at her and shook my head.

Jahoon: I really thought that you were going to say it was me to motivate me and cheer me and my confidence up but.... I can't argue with you about that.

Wonyoung unnie giggled as she walked over to me. She wrapped her arms around me as she winked at me.

Wonyoung: But we all know that the second person in terms of fashion sense is you, baby bear.

I huffed at her as I shook my head once again. To be honest, my style of clothing wasn't really that special. I just wore dress shirts with pants normally. Sometimes also with sweaters and vests. That doesn't mean that I don't wear dresses and skirts but I prefer to wear shirts and pants since it's more comfortable as well as practical.

Wonyoung: You don't have to worry, baby bear. No matter what you wear, you will always look good no matter what you wear. I will be waiting for you in the living room.

Wonyoung unnie patted me on my head and walked out of my room, closing the door behind her. It took me a few minutes more before I finally decided on my outfit and walked out to the living room to see the other unnies waiting for me.

Jahoon: Sorry for letting you wait for me for so long.

Leeseo: You don't have to apologize, baby bear. You look so good! Not that you don't look good on other days but you look good.

Leeseo unnie tried to clarify herself. I giggled at her and thanked her. We all got into the van and drove off to the destination of today's filming.

Manager Kim: Seems like we are the first people here today. Go and get your mics on first then you can look around afterwards.

We walked over to the staff and got our mics on. We began wandering off to look around and in that process, I mindlessly walked away from the other girls. I decided to just walk back since I knew with myself that if I continued on then I would get lost with my bad sense of direction. The girls were waiting for me there as well as some of our sunbaenims. We all greeted and chatted with each other until it was time for the filming. We waited until it was our turn to exit to the main filming area.

Pd-nim: Hello IVE! It is so nice to see you. Please sign your name here to sign in. Also, you guys would have to use your luck since one of you will have to join the spare team since you guys are an uneven number right now.

Yujin: Wait! So one of us is going to be on a different team alone?!

Wonyoung: That is literally your nightmare, baby bear!

Wonyoung unnie wrapped her arms around mine as she shook me lightly. The other girls looked at me as I just stood there completely in shock, just wishing to the greater gods that I won't be the one to pick the spare ticket. We signed in as told and picked a ticket each. I peeked a little at mine and sighed in relief.

Pd-nim: It seems like someone is relieved.

I nodded excitedly as everyone laughed at my reaction. We opened up our tickets one by one, revealing Rei unnie who got the spare ticket. We sat down in our seats as we waited for the other teams to sign.

Rei: I'm happy that it is not one of you two, who got the spare ticket.

Liz: Why?

Rei: If it were one of you, I'd be so sad.

Jahoon: I feel sad too.

Rei: Really?

Jahoon: Yes.

Rei: It's okay.

Liz: Really?

Rei: No.

Rei unnie, Jiwon unnie and I all laughed. We knew each other's pain if we got into the spare team since we were all introverts. The other teams walked in one by one until we were all assembled. Pd-nim told us the schedule for the day before jumping into a game of reversed rock-paper-scissors to win snacks for our ride to Inje. The game was quite simple, you would have to answer "I lost" instead of "I won" if you throw out paper and the other person throws out rock. If both of us throw out paper then both will have to yell "Gribbit" and throw again until one person wins. It was a simple game but also an extremely hard one because your brain would just freeze and you won't be able to answer fast which is required in the game. I leaned back in my seat as I tried to relax as much as possible until our game. I watched the other sunbaenims doing their game and up until now, there has been no one who was able to win PD-nim.

Jahoon: What am I going to do?~ I'm going to fail~

I whined and leaned my head on Jiwon unnie's shoulder as she giggled at me but I could tell that she was just as worried as me. Just a few moments later it was our time to play. Up until our turns not even one of the teams had been able to get the breakfast set, only the dry snacks set. I stood up and sighed heavily, preparing myself for the game.

Gaeul: We are the youngest team here.

Yujin: Can you go easy on us?

Pd-nim looked at us a bit baffled and laughed at us.

Pd-nim: Go easy? Well, if the other teams agree for me to go easy then I will.

I looked around at the other teams as they cheered loudly in favor of us. We all laughed and began playing. It all went fine for a while and I managed to pass through my round but unfortunately, Gaeul unnie's brain froze for a moment and yelled "I lost" even though she won.

Jahoon: Pd-nim~ please give us one more chance~

I clasped my hands together and looked at Pd-nim with a soft smile. Pd-nim looked at me with a surprised look as the others cooed at me as well as cheered for a second time for us. In the end, we got our second chance but as you may have guessed, we blew up the second chance again.

Yujin: One more time! One more time!

Yujin unnie cheered once again, making everyone cheer with her. Pd-nim shook his head and sighed in unbelief before giving us our last chance.

Pd-nim: This is your last chance, okay? If you blow this up then you will break the trust of your sunbaenims.

Well if that is comforting. I placed a hand over my chest and took a deep breath. Alright... this is our last chance... I can do it. I can do it. We can do it.
