There is a saying that says you will see a light when you are about to die. I have never really believed in that until today. Even though it was late at night, a bright light shone before my face. It was like I could reach out to it. I closed my eyes tightly as the light was beginning to blind my eyes but when I opened them again all I could see now was a white roof. The light that I probably have just seen was the light bulb right above me. I looked around and noticed that I was in a hospital room. That only meant that my attempt was unsuccessful... just like the rest of my life. I turned my head to look straight forward again and sighed. Why couldn't I just end this? I don't want to live anymore and it's not like anyone even cares if I'm still here or not. I tried to sit up but both my abdomen and head were hurting like crazy! It was too much for me to bear so I ended up lying back down. I heard the door open, making my head turn to see who it was.
CEO: Well what a pleasure for you to finally be joining us. You have been asleep for so long.
Jahoon: What are you talking about?
CEO: You don't know? You have been in a small coma for three days now! Even the doctors were slowly beginning to think that you would be in a deep coma for a while. You proved them wrong.
I looked at him confused. How could I have been in a coma for that long? Everything happened just last night! Right?
Jahoon: But it happened last night... How could I be in a coma for that long...
CEO: You hit your head pretty badly when you decided to jump but the real question is why would you do something like that? Do you know how much it has impacted your group? Luckily we managed to keep a lid on all of this so no news outlet knows that you tried to kill yourself.
I sighed and turned my head to look at the other side. Why would I even think otherwise? Of course the only thing that he would worry about was how much money he would lose with his biggest cash cow right now. I turned my head back to look at him when a thought appeared.
Jahoon: What about... the other girls? Do they know about this?
CEO: Of course, they know! And they are all disappointed in you right now. Even they can't believe that you would do something like that. They personally told me that they don't want to see you right now.
Of course... Why would they ever care about me? I already got their confession on how much they hated me. It was only foolish of me to think that I could turn them around. There is no reason for me to stay any longer. I tried getting off the bed but somehow I couldn't.
Jahoon: Why can't I move or feel my legs?
CEO: The doctor said that during your fall you injured your spinal cord and the history of you suffering an injury on it and not being able to walk has resulted in you maybe being paralyzed from your waist down.
Jahoon: Wait what?!
CEO: Don't worry! There is a chance for you to walk again but you would have to go to the States for it since there is no doctor in our country who can do the surgery to fix your spinal cord. That is why I have an offer for you right now to decide on.
I looked at CEO-nim as he pulled out a chair to sit on. I only noticed my manager when he moved to stand behind CEO-nim with a small smile on his face.
CEO: I don't know what pushed you off the edge like that but I have a feeling that it has something to do with the rest of the girls how I know that you probably want out of the group right now however I want you to stay in the group. I want you to go to the States and do the surgery, rest, and come back to the group when you are ready. I will even allow you to take a break as long as you need. Additionally, you will get 10 million won and be a little more freely compared to your former contract.
