The sound of an alarm woke me, I nearly sprung awake and I heard Rubin groan in annoyance. He rolled over and turned off his alarm before, lying back down on his back, he sighed and ran his hands over his face. He looked over at me, my eyes barely open and he chuckled, "Ariiii" He sang "Hey, we gotta get up" He whispered, running a hand through my hair, I nodded and turned over to my back, I stretched and got up "I gotta shower" I said while stretching, I grunted as I stood and put on my bunny slippers.

I got up and headed for the showers, I heard Rubin chuckle and I turned to face him while getting ready for my shower, "What?" I laughed "Your uh- your shorts are kinda.. Showy" He stammered, I looked at myself in the mirror and my shorts had ridden up my legs and my ass cheeks were just OUT. I pulled them down and walked into the bathroom, I got undressed, turned on the water, cold water, and stepped inside. "OH FUCK" I jumped, "Fuck that's cooold" I whined, I stepped back tino the shower but as I did the door swung open

"ARI?" He yelled, "I'm fine. I just jumped cause the water was colder than expected, I'm okay" I reassured, I began washing my hair when Rubin stepped into the shower. "What are you doing?" I asked, "What? It saves water" He argued and I scoffed, I felt his body slowly press against mine, his hand snaking around my waist. "Saving water huh?" I joked "Shush" I sassed, he grabbed the shampoo and placed a good amount of shampoo into his palm.

He massaged that into his hands before placing it in my hair. He worked his fingers on my scalp, my body instantly relaxing at his touch, I sighed as he massaged the shampoo into my hair. He turned me around and rinsed it out thoroughly, the way his hands caressed my head made me feel as though my legs were gonna give out. He makes me feel amazing, he makes me feel loved and that's the type of guy I've needed all my life.

After showering, while we were getting dressed, Rubin's phone rang, he hurried over to pick it up but he seemed.. serious. More serious than usual, "Blackwood'' He answered "Will?" He questioned, he stood there for a second before looking at me "Will, Will slow down. What happened?" He instructed "Will, slow down. Tell me what happ- WILL" He yelled and the sound on the other line stopped "What. Happened?" He repeated.

There was a stern look on his face, I watched that look fall into shock and horror "What?" I whispered, I walked closer to him "Where?" He asked, "I'm on my way" He finished hanging up. He grabbed his coat and ran out of the house, "Rubin" I called out running after him "RUBIN" I yelled, he ran out of the house.

I stood on the deck as he pulled out of the driveway, "Rubin..." I said softer, even though he couldn't hear me. He sped down the street and his car disappeared out of my view, I went back inside and my mind was racing. Something happened to his family, I tried calling him but there was no answer. Didn't want to call Marcus cause he wouldn't tell me anything and I didn't want to call Sam cause well... she wouldn't know what to do.

Nearly a whole day passed and nothing, not a text nor a phone call. Not even a voicemail, nothing. Something bad happened, something really, really bad, he never just leaves. Not like he did, he always tells me. I was sitting on the couch, trying to read to keep my mind distracted when I got a call, it was Will. "Hello?" I answered in a hurry "Arianna?" He replied

"Will, where's Rubin?" I asked "He's alright, we're all alright. He's on his way to you, he can explain everything but I called you to tell you that... you have to, have to, go easy on him. Don't bombard him with questions, just be there. That's what he needs right now. And don't yell either, just let him come to you. He may not be right away, so don't push him. Okay?" He instructed "yeah, yeah okay. But Will?" I asked "Hm?" He replied "How bad is it?" I questioned, "Really bad" He replied. I said goodbye and as I placed my phone on the table, Rubin walked in. He opened the door, took his coat off and hung it on the coat hanger and looked up at me "Hey" I greeted, my voice low and soft.

He walked over to me, slowly and sat down next to me, I sat up from lying down and he didn't say anything. He just sat there for a second before he looked back at me, "Arianna? Can I ask you something?" He asked "yeah, yeah of course" I replied, I placed my hand on his shoulder "How would you cope.. If one of your siblings died?" He asked and I was taken back "What?" I asked "How would you cope with that?" He repeated "I- I don't know, I-" I paused "Wait.. Rubin did.." I began to ask and he nodded "Oh Rubin,.." I sighed.

I placed my hand on the back of his head, I stroked the back of his head with my thumb. "I don't know what to do right now and I.. I just need to hold you" He admitted "Hey, I'm right here" I scooted closer to him and he wrapped his arms around me, he lifted me onto his lap and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He held me tight, tighter than ever. We just sat there, I felt his body begin to shudder, and his hand began to shake "Shh, it's okay to cry. You can cry" I reassured, he began to sob into my chest, I ran my hands over his neck and the back of his head, I just let him cry. "It's okay, let it out" I whispered.

He cried for a long time, he sobbed and sobbed, anytime he stopped the shaking got worse, the shuddering got worse, he had a total breakdown, but during the last one I finally found out what happened. "Shh, it's okay. I got you" I reassured "It was Marcus.." He whispered "What?" I asked sitting up "It was Marcus, we lost Marcus" He sobbed. I felt my heart sink to my stomach, my heart began to race and I felt sorrow fill my whole body. I hugged him again, as the shock set in "He's gone" He cried "Oh baby... it's okay, it's gonna be okay" His own brother was gone, dead. It would be different if it was Will, or Victor, because he grew up with them. But Marcys, his actual blood brother, was gone. One of the few family members he had left, was gone, the most important person to him, was gone.
