I have been out of the hospital for 2 months now, and things have started going back to normal, I got back to work and it's been good. Even though I feel like Rainer is going easy on me, things with Arianna have been good but it almost feels too good to be true. Things have almost been too good, like the quiet before the chaos. I don't want to assume anything butI also don't wanna get too comfortable in happiness.

I walked down into the living room and looked around, almost checking if Ari was home yet. Arianna had to run errands all day today with Sam, so she should be home soon enough. She hadn't gone out much because she was looking out for me, so when she told me Sam invited her for a "girls day" I couldn't let her say no. I can't explain how much I truly appreciate Ari looking after but I also felt for pulling her from her own life, just to take care of me. Once I got downstairs I headed to the front door and I placed my jacket on before leaving, I headed to the nearest grocery store and I picked up some flowers for Ari. I wanted to thank her in as many ways as possible for what she did for me.

When I finally got home, I checked the time and I had about a half hour to set up the power and make some lunch for us. I wanted everything to be perfect for when she got back. I decided to make homemade pizza for us. I made it once in the past and she loved it. I went classic with a half cheese half pepperoni, just as I pulled it from the oven I heard the front door open. "I'm home!" She announced, I placed my rag down and grabbed the flowers before heading to the door to greet her. I saw a smile appear on face when she saw me.

"Hi baby" I greeted and she smiled even more "Hi" she replied, wrapping her arms around my shoulders. She tried to look down at my hands, which were behind my back but I pulled away "What is that?" She asked and I chuckled "What's what?". She rolled her eyes and I laughed "what's behind your back?" She smiled, I sighed "Well I didn't wanna have to do this but..." her smile dropped

"if you want what's behind my back, you gotta kiss me" I declared and she laughed "You scared me. Don't say that shit" she walked up to me, wrapped her arms around my neck and gave me a slow, love filled kiss. I wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her closer, she began to pull away but I pulled her back, I could tell I caught her off guard. After a few more seconds I pulled away and she smiled at me, "Can you show me now?" She asked and I handed her a bouquet of roses. I heard a small gasp from her when she saw them, she took them from my hand, "Oh Rubin.. they're beautiful" I smiled at her "I wanted to thank you for taking care of me" she looked up at me before her arms around my neck again and kissed me, the kiss was different, it was passionate.

She pulled away and I placed my forehead on hers "I would do it again in a heartbeat. As long as it's not you getting shot" she chuckled. I hugged her and she hugged me back "Go check the kitchen" I stated and she smiled at me. I stayed where I was until I heard her yell "YOU MADE PIZZA" I started laughing, I entered the kitchen and she was standing in front of the oven. I leaned against the door frame and she looked over at me "I told you I wanted to thank you for caring for me" I stated and she smiled "Thank you baby, this means so much" She said softly. I walked over to the drawer next to her and grabbed out the pizza cutter, "Here" I handed it to her, she smiled and grabbed it from my hand.

I stepped behind her and hugged her waist, "It smells amazing" she stated, Ari placed two pieces on one plate and two pieces on another. We grabbed our drinks and pizza, we left the kitchen and made our way to the living room. Once we settled we began eating and talking "How are you feeling?" she asked and I nodded, "Better.." I finished chewing "Better, I'm less sore. Still hurts to move sometimes" I replied "What about the bruises.. Are they getting better?" "Day by day, they are still pretty bad, I have the bandages covering them so we'll have to just wait" I explained and she nodded.

"So, I wanna hear about it" I chuckled while placing my plate on the coffee table "Hear about what?" she questioned grabbing her wine and sipping it, "The girls day" I finished placing my hand on her thigh "Oh" she sighed, placing her cup down "Why was that a sad"oh "?" I asked "It's not sad it's just a.. Disappointing one" she said "Why?" I asked, I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and leaned back on the couch while she rested on my shoulder "Sam... she told me it would be just me and her, and when I got there.. It was like a party. And I'd be fine if it were like our friends and we were gonna hang out but the only person I knew was Sam, she brought like 6 or 7 guys. So when I got there.. I didn't want to be there. I told Sam and she tried to get me to stay but... the guys just told her to let me go. So she did... and I left and I just drove back home" She explained and my blood boiled. "So, you make plans with her, and she says it'll just be you and her-" "Mhm" "But when you get there, which mind you is a like 2-3 hour drive, the plans have magically changed and now she's trying to get you to hang out with a group of dudes that you don't even know. Knowing you hate being in groups with people who you are unfamiliar with" I re-explained

"And let alone, Sam isn't the type of girl to hang with a bunch of guys, she's never been like that. So I don't know" She sighed leaning into me more, "It's okay" I comforted. She placed her other hand on my chest and I grabbed it. After a few minutes of sitting in silence, I looked down to see Ari sleeping. "Oh baby.." I sighed. I carefully stood up before picking her up and carrying her to bed, it was the middle of the day but she's tired, I placed her down on the bed and she woke slightly "shh, go back to sleep, I'm right here"

Ari deserves some good rest after all she's done for me, so I plan to leather have as muc as she needs
