Gotham, a week before the Atlantis incident 11 pm

I was standing on top of a building listening to the police radio, but nothing really happened. I wanted to check on Robin when something strange happened. I felt like something trying to squeeze everything out of me. I couldn't keep my eyes open.

When I opened my eyes Gotham felt like a different city. It looked the same, but somehow I knew it's not mine. Then I saw a blinding explosion in Metropolis and I was completely sure that it's not my world. I couldn't see Metropolis from Gotham in my world.

I caught a cab because I didn't have the Batmobil and I went to Metropolis.

Metropolis 11.30 pm

When I arrived to Metropolis the people were running out from their homes and all the children were crying.

I couldn't see anything from the roads, so I jumped onto the roof of a building. It was much better now, or worse. I couldn't decide.

Superman and Superman were fighting against an ugly monster. This was the reason why so many buildings were destroyed. It seemed like my Superman came here too, but he could be from another universe. I had to figure that out later, but first I had to help them.

It seemed I was late because suddenly this dimension's Batman jumped down from a building and put a shocking device at the monster. He landed next to the two kriptonian and the passed out creature.

"Batman, do you copy?" my communicator went on.
"Yes, Superman. It looks like we both stucked in another dimension" I said, but I didn't get a response. I saw the other Superman and Batman are arguing about something. I decided to go down and ask for an explanation.

I landed next to my Superman who was watching the other two's argument.

"What are they arguing about?" I asked as I looked at them. It was strange to see us like this.
"About the monster, but I don't understand it completely. I think there is something more behind it"
"Hm. Then we should ask them" I said and I threw a Batarang between them and it stucked in a building's wall. They both looked at us confused. Or Superman was confused and Batman annoyed, but it was hard to say because of the cowl.
"Another Batman, great" Batman said.
"Maybe he's not as crual as you!" Superman yelled at him, but Batman didn't bother.
"What are you arguing about?" I asked the other Batman, because he seemed calmer than his partner.
"This monster is Lois Lane. I don't know what happened to her in your universe, but here she is dead. And now she is very much alive" he said and I heard my Clark take a sharp breath. I wanted to comfort him, but Batman doesn't do that.
"But you could at least try to change her back into his human form" Superman said, but Batman shook his head.
"I could try, but she never be the same. She probably lost her mind" Batman said unmercifully.
"I don't care! I want her back!" Superman yelled and he was close to hit Batman. The monster began to recover.
"I wouldn't interfere your arguments, but she'll run away if you don't stop fighting" I said as the monster jumped up and looked for an escape route.
"We have to kill her. This will be the best for her" Batman said and he pulled out a Batarang.
"What?! You can't kill her! She was my bride" Superman protested and Batman become truly furious now.
"Fine, than we should just let her destroy Metropolis and who knows what else, so you can marry her!"
"That's not what I meant. Bruce, you know I... Nevermind. We only capture her, then we'll figure something out" Superman said with a sigh and he flew after the monster. Batman followed him.
"Did you see that?" Clark asked and I nodded.
"I did, but we don't have time for discussion yet. We have to help them" I said and we both went after them.

We trapped Lois in a parking garage and waited for the police on the roof. No one said anything until Clark decided to speak.

"You know, I think you're a good team. Maybe you should work together more often" he suggested, but they only turned their backs to each other. Clark looked at me for help.
"What're you doing isn't logical at all. You're arguing about nothing. Superman, you know Lois is dead and even he can't bring her back. Batman, you shouldn't be so deffensive, Superman isn't your enemy" they still didn't look at each other, but they seemed less tense.
"You know, when I lost my Lois I thought that my world is ended. But it'd just started. Sometimes you just have to let go the people you love to let in new ones" Clark said quietly and I put my hand on his shoulder. He smiled slightly at me and the two stubborn heroes finally faced each other. They just looked at each other for a while, and we were standing there holding our breath.

"Bruce, I love you. I only realized it when I spent some time alone with you after Lois's death, but I didn't want to ruin our friendship" Superman said, staring at his boots.
"I'm sorry that I didn't realized it sooner and that I was a jerk with you lately. I hope you can forgive me" Batman said as he took of his mask and Superman finally looked into his eyes.

There was a tense moment before Superman grabbed Batman's cloack and kissed him passionately. It was kind of uncomfortable for me that I had to watch this through, but Clark only seemed glad that they are not fighting anymore. Fortunately, they forgot we were there too. They only realized it when they let go each other. Superman blushed, but Batman stayed calm.

"How are you going home? We have a portal in our HQ" Batman offered and we accepted his offer.

To be honest it bothered me very much, that I didn't know how we got there. I asked Batman about this and he said Wonder Woman was the one who brought us here to reconcile him and Superman. It was the truth, but it still bothered me a little bit. Maybe I expected a mystery behind our trip, but this was only my detective instinc.
